I have a couple questions about your setup and axle you bought since I'm about buy the axle from MSA.
Did you center your diff cover from the back with the pinion flange offset or did you center your pinion flange in line with the driveshaft and your diff cover offset?
Do you happen to have the exact length of the shafts you bought and what did MSA have to say about your problems?
I'm no expert on CV's but I would think they be setup to have enough travel for normal driving squat(full compression) and full droop. I could see them fully expanding and maxing out the CV boots but still held place by large C clips the clips and keeping them from popping out when Jacked up on stands.
I just don't understand how MSA would not have warned about this little problem. Thanks
Haven't worked on the Z much but did pick up some parts.
Got 17X8.5 Wheels
Got an Intercooler and Aluminum radiator.
Also made some hub adapters for the Q45 R200 swap.
That's it's for now.
Oil filter relocation plate is from Earl's performance and it replaces the factory bulky oil water cooler fitting. From the plate you run hoses to oil cooler and filter. I'll get pics of the rest later.
Thanks Careless.. Searching through old post only to find info that isn't usable today kinda sucks.
As you've just mentioned Rz200 pans are no longer being sold did not come up in my searches and you've provided usable current and prompt info..
I called Westco and they want $300 for the pair not the $200 everyone's been talking about as of 3 days. Thanks again
I've read that you can get the pan and pickup for under $200 usd.... I can't seem to find it that cheap. Has anyone purchased them recently for that price and where did you get them? Thanks, Rick in SoCal
