  1. I understand, thanks for the help sir, almost any mod can be made here in the philippines so i HOPE, if some of the parts will not fit, hopefully i could have it modified to suit my needs. thanks! mark.
  2. so i decided to get my self an r33 halfcut(rb25det), got it for $2000(80k pesos) it will be arriving late december or early january. i was suppose to do an rb25 N/A ITB setup but the guy said he wont be able to get an RB25N/A so i decided to go for the turbo one.anyway, i have some questions that hopefully yo guys can answer(tried searching but no luck) btw i live in the philippines so manual labor and parts are cheap first off 1.) Will i be able to use the brakes of the r33(front and rear) for my z? and also the hub? 2.) Will the r33 radiator fit in my z ? 3.)will i be able to use the steering assembly of the r33? 4.)will the shocks of the r33 fit my z? 5.) what are the common problems that i may encounter during the swap? NOTE: i live in the philippines so manual labor, parts, fabrication are cheap and im a total newbie with cars so if some of my questions are just plain dumb and stupid, please forgive me. THANK YOU GUYS.AND ANY INPUT WILL BE VERY VERY APPRECIATED. THANKS AND GOD BLESS! Cheers. Mark.
  3. Oh man, your the owner of that z in you tube? its Fcuking awsome man, that video is the video that triggered me to pursure this build! i sent you a pm regarding this bro, i do hope i could finish this setup just like yours!
  4. Thanks for the info man, yep i will be getting the full halfcut and everything thats on it, atleast thats what the supplier guy said to me,hope will be able to finish this build within the year.
  5. i see, i think i might go for the front clip, there is a supplier here in manila that will hook me up with a frontcut rb25 non turbo for around $1000-$1100 and its already shipped with that price, the difference from buying an rb25 N/A front cut and buying an engine and tranny, in terms of price, is around $200 dollars, i think the engine and the tranny goes for $800 shipped the front cut goes for around $1000-$1100 shipped. so theres not much of a difference really lol. i know that having an engine swap over there at the U.S is expensive but believe me, here in manila? you could have an rb26dett under your hood for around $6k, shipped, installed, tuned and running.
  6. Thanks man, the sound is indeed divine haha, its beautiful. im not really after the power but improving the engine response would be a tad lovely, im going to do it slowly cause the cost would be massive if i am to do it all at the same time, for now im on the process of having my self an rb25 non turbo and i think found a guy that would get me some straight from japan.so yeah, haha wish me luck on this build.
  7. check for rust man, rust is the number one problem if you are trying to restore a car.its gonna drain your bank.
  8. Update: Will be able to get my self an non turbo r33 Half cut(RB25DE) for $1000-$1100, pretty cheap, now i need to find a shop who will be able to make me some custom Manifold for the carb set-up.wish me luck. Mark.
  9. Im sure it would SOUND awesome, lol.Hopefully the project will push through, though im pretty sure that it will, i need all the info i could gather to be able to complete this build. the number one questions that lingers in my head is that, can i get a custom manifold inorder for the carbs to fit? or just cut the existing manifold intake and weld a piece in the manifold inorder for the carbs to be bolted on? I think i saw a guy did this but i myself am not so sure. Thanks.! mark.
  10. Yeah man, it is sexy haha, im doing it just for the heck of it manila is near japan so sourcing parts would be quite easy, i would post a build thread when i start building, for now the z is undergoing major body restoration nad reinforcement.
  11. Ok so i have decided to go down this path, the carb path. i know that its impractical, time consuming, and what not.but its GORGEOUS and i wont really race the car, just want to achieve that ROAR and the "Wow" factor.moving on.and its just that i dont want to go down the common path(i dont mean anything bad, turbo rb's are the best respectively) i just want to be different. Simply Amazing.. Can you please feed me information on how this setup would work? what things do i have to have custom built(headers, intake, etc) and what brand of carb and size do you recomend? ANY inputs would be REALLY appreciated guys. thanks to all! mark.
  12. I need help in building my rb25 280z, will the stock r33 driveshaft fit into my z? are there any other cars that has a driveshaft similar to what i need inorder to complete my rb25 280z swap? getting a custom driveshaft here in manila is pretty hard and getting one in the US is expensive, you know what i mean? so if you know a way on how i could get a driveshaft without having one custom made would mean alot of help. inputs would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Regards. Mark.
  13. Oh wow, will you look at that, im prety sure alot of work and $$ has been put into that beast.
  14. I see, thanks for the input guys, appreciate it.
  15. Thats was i was thinking but its a bit different.lol.
