About a month ago I was going thru some of the threads, when I came across a thread that a datsun z car had a performance clutch setup, but the person was using a automatic flywheel which is much lighter, but what I am wondering is how he adapted this setup to a race type clutch setup. I have been trying to find this memo for days.

240z E88 Head Mated To A 280z Intake Manifold
ozzinc replied to ozzinc's topic in 6 Cylinder Z Forums
Thanks for the info, I was going to try and have a machine shop make up a custom fittting, but if I can get these timeserts to work then I will just go with that. which is good because I had the p90a head ported and polished and it has larger stainless steel manley valves, so I was trying to figure out a way to make this setup work, the regular p90a head would never be able to handle the hp that im trying to make and the head would begin to have valve spring float basically collapsing under extreme hp loads. I will go to the thread that you directed me to, and see if I can get a part number for the timeserts. -
I wondering if I can use A 280z intake manifold on a E88 240Z HEAD I have A p90a head which is hydraulic and non adjustable, I know I would have to drill some holes for the injectors and the intake mounting screw holes.

Thanks for the info fastzcars, so all I need is those 280zx turbo flanges and im good to go, I know I will have to do something with my rear swaybar so that it does not touch the cv shaft.

I have a 72 240z that I will be installing the 82 280zx turbo cv shafts, I know it is not a direct bolt on, but what I would like to know is if I get the cv stubs off the 82 280zx turbo, will I be able to put these stubs onto the 72 240z spline without any modification, I have noticed some of the advertisement about these cv stub adapters. I will be installing my 87 300zxt lsd rearend at the same time that I will be installing the shafts, and I also have a mustache bar from a 78 280z.

after searching every website for A wide rear qtr Flare that would fit on the older datsun zcars with some style & beauty of the lastest import craze and could not find anything that would fit wide wheels, I just decided to Work on A rear qtr flare that would accomodate wheels that are real wide, the wheels that you see in the photo's are 17x 11" wide wheels. im working on A design thats just like the flares on the 350z wide body, please let me know your input. -

I have finally decided to work on A rear wheel qtr Flare project that I can live with. for the most part I have checked with many z parts suppliers with no luck of finding rear flares that I like, so I have decided to work on my own design that would accomodate 17x11" wheels and that would look real tasteful on the older datsun 240z 260 & 280z cars, A design almost like the ones on the 350z car, I hope that you make what you see"
