What size cooler lines would be recomended for a GM 200-4R? I was told the passage ways inside the tranny were 5/16 and that any line bigger than that would create a pressure drop. So, if I were to use a -4 AN line to a B&M super cooler would that create a large enough pressure drop to discourage me from using it? Is a -4 AN to small to big or what? I was also told the best thing for this particular tranny was a the stock 5/16 steel line all the way to the cooler and back. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!

How do you determine what gallon per hour fuel pump you need? I have a Chevy 383 stroker with the following componets: 1996 engine block Vortec heads GM Performance Hyd. Roller cam The duration at .050" tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 234/242; and maximum lift with 1.5:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 539/558. Valve lash is zero/zero and lobe centerline is 112 degrees. Edelbrock Performer RPM AirGap Harland Sharp Roller Rockers Holley 750 cfm carb

A guy I work with inherited a 1965 or 68 Mustang I can't be sure one of those two years.Anyway he asked me where the casting number on the engine block would be and I didn't know. Is there anyway to tell exactly what horsepower engine is in it by decoding the vin or was it a particular casting on the engine block and cylinder heads? Please help.

Yeah but both of my valve covers are vented I don't know maybe he was right.

I have a basic street/strip 383 SBC with vortec heads. I recently bought some die cast aluminum valve covers for it and I put breathers on each side. I took a picture of it and showed to a guy a work with and he said that I need to put a pcv valve on the engine or would start blowing oil ou the dipstick tube or blow ever seal in the engine. I did not think that made any sense at all. How would the crankcase build up any kind of pressure if the engine was vented to out side atomoshpere. His argument has that the pcv was very important. what do you guys think?

I think I will run what I have maybe with some turbo gaskets and ARP stud kits for the bottom and top.....

I have not tried them yet but they kinda tuck in close to the engine so I thought maybe I try them since they were so cheap...

I have a 1969 large journal 327. Basically stock rebuilt bottom end with forged pistons w/ pressed wrist pins and ARP rod bolts. I plan on using some ported and polished 882 castings cut for bigger valves (2.02 Intake,1.60 exhaust) and screw in rocker studs. My compression ratio should be 8.25 to 1. I want to run 12 lbs of boost, but I was told that pressed on wrist pins will break and stock rods will bend or break. It was said that iron castings do not like a lot compression and that I needed a floating style wrist pin and h-beam rods. I just want to know if this has merit or if this person was just trying to sell me somthing.... I have some pics ask if you want to see

how stong is an R200 diff, how much power can it with stand? are there any other diffs i can use? if so what parts will i need to install them.

Before you guys tell me to do a search I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to build and install subframe connectors. I have some 1 inch square tubing laying and I was wandering if that is good enough. Any information or pictures will helpful

There are alot of factors to think about here what heads are on it, your cylinder heads is where you are going to make power. Also if the heads aftermarket or stock oem or what size valves are in them. About the engine I would ask how many miles are on( estimated if they don't know)and was it driven every day or on the weekends or was driven hard or not. But on the other you have a complete engine to go back through regardless it is probably worth it to get it as a core but be careful some people say what expensive parts they have in a motor and you open it up and realize how full of sh*t they are or maybe they didnt know and thats what they were told. Anyway I would find out more about it.

I have heard that 4x4 Toyota front brakes will bolt up the datsun front spindles. Does anyone have any part numbers and if you cant tell where you got them from would be cool also. Oh yeah and if anyone has any pics of this that would be helpful

Has anyone ever mated a small journal engine with the t-56 6 speed. I know that the flywheel bolt pattern is different than the large journal engines. I know that centerforce makes a retro fit flywheel for the older style large journal engines but I am not sure about the older small journal(283,302,327). Also if anyone has any tips or tricks or pics of the mounted that would be helpful.

I have a friend of mine that has a diesel turbo off of a 6.5 litre chevy 3500. He said I could have but not sure that work with the amount of displacment I have and the fact that I will turing my engine at higher rpm. Any questions or comments would be helpful.
