  1. I am using Tokico HP Struts and Eibach progressive rate springs -- supposed to lower car 1-1.5". Anybody problems with this in consideration?
  2. I am adapting 300ZXT CV Axles with Modern Motorsports (MM) CV Adapters with 280Z flanges into a 71' 240 with R200. I have OEM CV axles from 86' #))ZXT. My diff is out for rebuild. I searched around when considering this conversion and most people were in favor of the MM adapters and according to their website flip the bearing cage on the axle and it is a bolt in. Now I am finding some posts stating there needs to be grinding done, etc. and the issue of binding and low amount of travel in the axle. I am spending alot of $$$ on this differential. I need to be sure it will not be damaged. Naturally I did not find these posts until today. Yesterday, I finally got my rear suspension put back in. I am hoping this can be addressed without having the MM adapters machined. Any input would be appreciated. Anyone do this exact swap into a 71'?
  3. Swapping R200 into 71' 240Z. I have the R200 Mustache bar and I know the it goes behind the hangers. I have seen several posts that differ as to whether or not the curve of the bar goes towards the front or rear of the car. I assume it would need to go towards the rear, otherwise you would not need the the curved aft crossmember. Please clarify. The second consideration is that I will be using CV axles in the set up using MM adapters with 280Z Flanges. I have also seen a post where it is suggested that when running this set up it might be advisable to move the differential forward to prevent binding issues. Has this ever been proven out? In which case the curve of the bar should go towards the front of the car?
  4. Looking for unit in very good condition.
  5. Looking for a set of 280Z stub axles, companion flanges (27 spline), and bearing spacers. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for all the replies. Fortunately, I was finally able to find a R200 with 3:90. I'll be scrapping the plans for mods to any type of R180. However, I am 100% looking for a set of actual stub axles (wheel side), companion flanges, and spacers (between the wheel bearings) from a 280Z. These will be needed for a CV axle set up.
  7. Looking for bolt-on type side stubs for early R180 differential.
  8. I received a reply from AMAX Eng. The cost is now $1200 + $125 Air Freight. Knew it was too good to be true. He says they have sold 147 units with no complaints in performance. It would be a tricky situation if there were any problems -- Australia.
  9. This Australian company manufactures (or so I assume) an ATB LSD to fit in the R180 for $850. Can be seen here: http://members.optushome.com.au/amaxeng/five10/diff.htm Anyone heard of this?
