  1. Thanks for the comment about the superjet engines

Its a part time business of mine building free ride engines for superjets

I ended up selling my SJ because I cracked the hull from surf riding in Oceanside. No one rides stand-ups in California anymore. They havent sold new stand-ups in Ca in 10 years at least.

  2. 2008 yamaha superjet

So who made the reed conversion for the Ped? I use to help out at a GO-ped shop my friend owned PSWS Racing and he built some fast motors including reed conversions.

  3. Mine looks like it has been fired but the bayonet looks unused. Mine is arsenal refinished. I wasnt looking for a collector piece just something inexpensive to mess around with. Im actually thinking of tearing mine down and refinishing the stock. Heres another option for the stock.

The Big 5 nagants usually are poor to fair condition. I think I got a very fair looking one.

  4. Oh, at ours they just sell the rifle, nothing else. Why do they have so many i have seen them in there for years?

Just like the AK-47 the Russians made millions of Nagants.

By the end of the wwII, approximately 17.4 million M91/30 rifles(like mine) had been produced. And the russians used them till the 60's. I got friends in the military that find Iraqi's using them today.

To date its said there have been 37 million made just in Russia not including the USA, Finland, Poland, China, Hungary, Romania, and Czechoslovakia.

  5. i have seen replicas of those at big five, but without the genuine goods you have, and no bayonet. Thought about pickin one up my semiautos are way inaccurate and bullet consuming... i need something that doesnt tempt my to rattle off the whole clip and say "well, there goes 6 bucks" IMO bolt actions are more accurate.

    nice gun!

This is a Big 5 Nagant I picked up for 89 bucks on Black Friday. They arent replicas. They are imported to a company in Utah from Russia where they are engraved with a serial # so they can be registered here. And it included all the stuff in the picture.

  6. I've detailed other toys in a very similar thread a while back, but I just re-discovered this one.

    It's the oldest vehicle I own, my 49cc 1969 Honda Z50A

    z50a.jpg

My dad fixed it up and gave it to me for my 8th birthday. The tubes in the tires still hold air.

I rode it for the first time in approx. 15 years last week. Started right up and ran pretty well with some new gas. I've got a new seat cover for it and I'll be ordering a carb rebuild kit (I suspect something's gummed up now 'cause it won't start again).

Thats great your first ride was a "Z"

  7. Went to the Intl motorcycle show yesterday in Long Beach, Ca. Not as big as last year but still a good time. My girlfriend got me and friend in free with press passes that was nice.

Like Zatsun said the Ducati Monster was a little cramped for my being 6'4". But Ducati has a new 796 Hypermotard that fits well. But still to pricey for me. Got to see the Ducati stunt team on Monsters that was cool and sounded awesome.

The main reason I wanted to go to the show was to get a demo ride on a Kawi Versys. Probably a bad idea with 12 stitches in my right hand but oh well. The 3 of us got to the show at 10 and all the rides were already taken for the whole day, Damn! But my girlfriend worked her magic with the press passes. She got me and my friend a private ride with one of the Kawi instructors. It was just us two not the large groups of 10 like everyone else. My friend rode a Ninja 650R and I rode a Versys. We got to go on a 30 min ride thru Long Beach and Terminal Island and this guy was getting with it! I guess he thought we were test riders for a magazine. Haha. Anyway the Versys was awesome I will be buying one for sure.

  8. I love K1 its addicting for sure. I have been to the tracks in Irvine, Anaheim, and Ontario. My tip for you is to get on there emailing list. They send emails out quite frequently for mid week half price or Buy one get one free. What I do is go by during the week and buy and bank a bunch of races on the Lic/card they give you. Then you can go to any track at any time for the cheaper price. Oh and you can bring your own helmet so you dont have to borrow there stinky ones

  9. Its hard to explain and most people dont believe me or my friends when we tell them that a SM is faster in the tight twistes then any sport bike and average rider. But when they ride with us they become believers. We have had guys get pissed off at us and never ride with us again, others give us dirty looks. But the ones that know give us props. Im not bragging Im a average rider nothing special. Me and my friends have had 600,750, and 1000cc bikes struggle to keep us in sight and I had one guy go down trying to keep up. But once there is a straight away and freeway we are Toast! That being said Im selling my SM and getting a more freeway friendly bike and one that still retains some upright SM style handling.

  10. I'm currently looking for a similar style bike. But since Im taller 6'4" Im looking for a more upright riding position. I currently ride a DRZ400SM. It is SO much fun to ride the twisty canyon roads. Im just an average rider but is so much fun to beat up on the sport bikes and makes them look slow. Until you get on the freeway and the bikes is to slow and unsettled above 75 mph.

So here are the bikes I have been considering.

    More affordable

My number one choice is the Kawi Versys then...

    Kawi ER-6n

    Suzuki SV650

    Suzuki Gladius

    Yamaha FZ6

If you have the Ducati budget.

    Check out these

    Aprilia Dorsoduro

    Aprilia Shiver

    KTM Duke

    KTM Super Duke

Check out this website and see if there are any shows in your area. I plan on going to the Long Beach show this weekend and trying a few bikes on the free Demo Rides.

  11. so... uh... what happened to the hand?

Are you a samurai in your free time?

I know you said not to ask... but as soon as someone tells me not to do something, it suddenly becomes intriguing.

Its how I rotate while progressing an undetermined distance. or roll for short.

Got in a fight with Mr. Makita and he won. For now!
