  1. It must be Christmas! My BRE style spoiler arrived, master bushing kit, and copped a whole bunch of stuff at Pick-N-Pull today, including a very good condition Ansa stacked exhaust. Wooo Hoooo
  2. So I took off my dash to install a new tach on my 280z. I've put everything back, and the HAZARDs (and the interior lights) do not work unless the car is turned on. My built-in voltmeter is now acting funky~ when the car is off the bar reads all the way to the left, when I turn on my car, the bar is all the way to the right. I took out my dash again to make sure I've plugged everything and it everything is in its place. Whats going on?
  3. It was actually parked on the side street in front of my house and lurched forward into the intersection
  4. Yeah, honestly I thought it was odd, too. My initial thought was some kids messing with me, even the police thought someone was messing with us. I always leave it in first gear with the e-brake up as far as possible. I even tried rocking the car back and forward to see if the e-brake was bad... but it wouldn't budge. I'd leave it in neutral but the battery was drained this morning. Not sure if it was from all the cranking or something is cross wiring it. I took it out and will have it charged at Kragens later and deal with it when I get some from work.
  5. So last night the police came knocking asking me whose car that was in the middle of the intersection...( my house is a corner house) I was confused as hell, since I always put up the ebrake and leave it in gear. So anyways, I reparked it, put some blocks under the tires and went to sleep. I woke up this morning and my car was on top of the blocks, but luckily the curb stopped it from going any further. Could this be the work of a wiring faulty starter? Let me rewind a bit, when I start up my car, the car starts up but the starter is still trying to start it (like holding the key in the start position) I have to pull the key back to the left a little bit so it'll stop... Also, the other night when I was troubleshooting a different issue, I felt around in the starter vicinity and somehow that spot where I touched could start the car. What do you guys think?
  6. I just spent the last two days ripping the interior to wash and clean it. It looks just like new!!! There are no stains, rips or tears. The dash looks like new! The car came with 15" Eagle star type wheels with 225/50/15 tires, a Momo steering wheel, a pretty awesome Alpine [cassette] deck with equalizer and some Boston Acoustic speakers with custom matching tweeters in the door panel. I've also added keyless entry and got her running with new plugs, cap and rotor. It has 83k original miles and needs wheel balancing and some other amenities. Here are some teaser shots, more pics when I get them.
  7. Also, I have one more question, if I may. My tachometer is stuck at 2k rpm (even with car on or off). Is it the tach that is stuck or is it electrical?
  8. Thanks for the quick reply! Haha yeah, its best if I wait until morning... This is my "first" car and I'm trying to learn the in's and out's of working on it by myself. I'll see what I can do tomorrow
  9. Hey Guys, My 280z was perfect, started up fine, ran great, only 83k original miles. Anyways, today, I cleaned up inside the engine a bit, using a towel and some orange type cleaner spray. So I started it up, and it started up and hesitates (the charge light blinks and it feels like it was going to die), rev'd it, and it hesitates after I let go of the throttle. After a couple of times it died and starting up, it doesn't start up anymore. It was night time, but I think I saw some sparks coming from the spark plug wires in one area, although it physically looked fine. What could be the cause? Did I knock something loose?
