I ultimately did get it (quickly) from JTR . Sometime I scrape for every savings and sometime I spend a little more to support the companies that are still around. It will end up in the thermostat housing, not the heads. Thanks again.

Thanks for the responses. I've had the set on backorder with MSA for some months now waiting that adapter so I'll find something locally as suggested.

It adapts the OEM Datsun temperature sender to a Chevy cylinder head.

Regarding the isolators for the radiator try GOODMARK GMK4012326681S from Rock Auto.

I have a perfect one but for pickup only.
