  3. Well im looking for a 240z bumper and this guy wants to sell me his bumper but when I look at the bumper on the car it looks like the 240z but spaced out. I was wondering if that was the 260 bumper thats why I ask. Thanks for the info
  4. Hey all. Just wanted to know is the 240z and 260 front bumpers the same?? Since they both carry the same front signal lights I just wanted to know??
  5. You know thats right. since he has a cam it is better for him to get a 55f9 right? Im using a stock came so 50f9 is good for me. O2 wideband sensor with datalogging capabilities. Yeah thats some serious money but its hella worth it.
  6. On my set up I was hesitating when I used 180 air f11 tubes and 130 main but when I switched back to 160 air it got better. 40f9. You should try 50f9. When I did that it got better but I guess its all on the elevation where you live. Here in Las Vegas its kinda hard but I make due. If your smelling fumes yeah your running rich whats your PSI on your fuel pump? I was running rich at 4psi and when I went back to 3PSI i dont smell it anymore
  7. Ok . Well I read all the forums on speedometer problems but no luck.. Here is my delema. I speedometer does not work but my miles tracking works. What could be the problem in this factor?
  8. Ok so here is the delema. I took out the pump spring the one that goes down and I switched it from the middle spring. The one I switched out still goes down. and the other sits right. What should I do in this matter? Is it repairable adn is it easy to do? Thanks everyone

  10. Got a question for everyone. My weber pump jet in the rear(tripple weber carbs) its all the way down when I opened the cover. The other two are workign fine but the third one is pushed all the way down on its own. Would this be a problem my my car wont start???
  11. Ok,,, I'm pullling my hair out. My car wont start. So here is what I have l28 tripple webs, 130 mail. 180 air f11 50 f9. Now before I had the bleed falve taken out it was running ok. I took out the blled valve fromt he bottom of the bowl cause its old. replaced it with a new one. Needle valves changed from 1.75 to a 2.0 PSI for fuel is 3 1/2. Now it wont start. The floats are set to 8 1/2 close and 15 open. cahnged the spark plugs cause it was wet and cahnged out the spark plug wires and still wont start. Before all this happened it work when I drove it int he garage. Any advise from anyone? Could timing changed in that fracture when I took it out and drove it cold? What the hell. I'm about ready to burn this car if I dont get this thing running soon.
  12. LOL Actually did have my friend hold it. Yeah its gettign spark. Thinking it could be the ignition module. Its gettign spark but maybe not enough so Ill to work on that. I'll open up my carb covers to see how much is flowing in. Plugs are not wet either. Hmmm my boyfriend dont even know either. I guess hes usless. LOL:tongue:
  13. Ok so heres the thing and im stumped. Really need someones opinion and help. I have a 73 240z tripple weber 40dcoe 50f9 idles 130 main 180 air 55 bleed valves. L28 engine L6 It started when I went into my garage. I took out the the second carb so I can have the bleed valve taken out. Brought it to a shop got it back 3 days later. Put it on and it wont start. Its getting gas in the bowls the starter is turning over like normal. Its just not starting. Its turning over but no start.. Can anyone help me on this problem??? I changed out the spark plugs to new ones and still no result. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  15. So the possibilities could also be my timing. I do run a 280 distributor. As for the turns on my screws. I turn them all the way closed to seat then turn them 1 full turn then a half turn. Im really new to the carb scene but Ill do what I can. Thanks everyone for their support and help and if anyone else has suggestions please feel free to let me know.
  16. Sorry about that. Yeah i was not thinking of that. I have a 73 240z with a 78 l28 engine. tripple weber carbs cannon manifold.no cam its stock. I checked my jets i am running 160 air f11 130 jets idle jets are 50f9 28 chokes after 2000 rpms it studders alittle and my spark plugs from the firewall to the 4th spark plug is black. I just changed them out so i know they are new. I turned the ilde screws 1 1/2 turn. but seems im still running rich or lean. Can anyone tell me what I can do to make my car runn better. It idles at 900 rpms so that is good. Again everyone sorry for not being specific. I'm new here
  17. I have a question and I badly need help. Everytime i go over 2000 rpms it studders. This guy gave me what i need for my tripple set up but I need your guys opinion on this. By the way Im new to the forums. 130 main 160 air then he wrote this that I need. 145 accell 55 bleed But i went to the store and they dont understand the terminology of this. Plus I asked for 50f9 cause thats on the list they said they never heard of that number. Can someone please help me im stuck!!!!
