Thanks for your replies. Helix I may have to look into those tie rod ends. Quick update: Dave from AZC got back to me and sent me a new set of steering knuckles. He states that these knuckles have a different angle to them so it may solve the problem. So im going to get it installed and see if that fixes the alignment issues. But before that, I want to change out the tie rod ends. Dave told me certain manufactures who make the s30 tie rods ends seem to be longer. Any idea which one? Or which tie rod manufacture you guys prefer? I might as well put new tie rods now with the steering knuckles. Thanks guys

Anyone selling custom tie-rods? I'm actually looking for longer tie-rods. Brought my car for alignment, but the person said im still toeing in eventhough the tie-rods are at its max length. My car has the AZC track package w/ the custom steering knuckles. I believe its the steering knuckles are causing me to have problems since they are shorter in length. I've been in contact with Dave from AZC, but it has been a slow process. So if anyone has some custom tie rods or ideas, that would be great.

Thinking of getting a set of these wheels. But I'm running stock suspension. Do you think this would be a problem for the 15x9? So if i'm running stock suspension with no flares, you think 0 offset would be better?

Any word on the price on the Electric steering unit? Or any more will be produced? I'm kind of interested in it!

This evening, I dropped off some accessories for the car and wanted to see the overall progress. Thanks on the replies. Its being built in the Los Gatos, CA in Luke's shop. I looked around the Bay Area for the best shop to do this project and I feel I made the best choice. As for the car: As of now, the car is going to built as kick ass street car, but can be used if need being, an everyday vehicle. Working A/C, clean interior, the works!

I just don't like the look with the rubber shock guards in the in the front and back. Could you have installed the bumper w/o it? Maybe just make some brackets like the 240z? I really want the european bumpers, but they are hard to come by!

I have a early 260z (thin bumpers) . I really like the "flush" look of the bumpers on 240z. I have read how 280z car owners have been converting their big bumpers to the 240z bumpers. My question is: Can I buy a new 260z thin front bumper, remove the bumper shocks, and create a "flush" look of my own? The reason i ask is because the thin 260z bumpers look longer on the sides than the 240z bumper. Thus, if I removed the bumper shocks and mounted the 260z bumper to the car, it wouldn't look right. I haven't really seen any pictures of 260z owners with a "flush" 260z thin bumper. Just want to let you know man that you've done a beautiful job on the swap so far. I can only hope my 240z turns out as nice as yours. Planning having my future datsun 240z with that engine as well. Can't wait to see the finished product!

-I thought about having a v8 converted car, but really wanted to keep it a inline-6. - Thats the problem, you won't know for sure if a person did a good swap or just slapped everything together. At least if i get everything and get someone to do it, i would feel more safe w/ the money i spent. -I found a donor '81 280zxt car (seller says the car is in great condition w/ 190k on engine and everything works) for $300! Good deal? Though I'm trying to find a good 240z as well! THanks for the comments!

Here's the information. Say you have $3500-4000 dollars and you want a turbo 240z (probably a l28et cuz i read its the easiest swap and I just want about 300hp max). Would you buy a 240z that has already been converted or just buy a 240z and a 280zxt separately? Also....i don't have much machanical experience....so probably have it done by someone else (more $$). The amount of money also includes some restoration (interior, maybe paint, new gauges, etc.) Can this be done?

Just wondering which air dam i should buy. I heard that the urethane air dams cause some problems. But if someone can tell me which one i should get, that would be helpful. thanks!

I have a 89'300zx (non-turbo) and a 74 260z(early). Is there anything good i can take from the 300zx and put it into the 260z that would fit normally? Sometime, I'm gonna put a V-8 in the 260z. Dont really know whats good to take out. Thanks alot.
