  1. Hey guys. I've got my car up and running strong but she runs hot. It's a 1978 350/383 Stroker that's built up with Dart heads, MSD, Crane cam., etc... It has a big aluminum radiator and the Ford Torus fan. I'm also running a vintage mini A/C aswell. Anyway, I spent a day with a friend flushing the system, new thermostat 185, fan is on thermostat aswell, and even jacked the front of the car up to get all the air bubbles out. I added slick water and new water/coolant. It runs at about 190 or so Nd I live in Texas so it's hot but If I turn the A/C on and sit at a light it wants to climb to 220 or so and fast to. Anyway, any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks guys.
  2. I think I'm just going to buy a electric one. Anyone looking for a mech. AutoMeter speedo?? Haha..
  3. I just Installed a 1993 T56 to my 1978 350/383 stroker. PM me if I can be help. It might be easier to talk on the phone though. It worked out great. I used the Centerforce fly and clutch. I also had to use a shorter driveshaft.
  4. I can get it into reverse pretty easy but I'm worried about going from 4 th to 5 th. I don't want to grind reverse everytime I'm looking for 5th. I guess with practice I'll get better st finding 5th.
  5. Can someone tell me were the reverse light wiring is on the T56 and how important the lock out is for reverse. I keep grinding a little trying to find 5th gear. Is there a cheaper part out there? Chevy wants a sh*t load for it!
  6. I have a T56 and a mech. AutoMeter gauge speedo. I know the Abbott will work and I'm sure it's a well made part but that's alot of money. Any other ideas out there? Thanks...
  7. Thanks! Not bad looking at all... I want to keep the silver ring if possible. A while back I remember seeing a post that someone did were they used a bracket for all the gauges. I guess I'll just keep trying to search!! Thanks again...
  8. I've got a 1972 240Z that I'm installing all new Pro Comp gauges. What's the best way to fit and finish them to the dash. I'm pulling the dash out to install a dash cap at the same time so the dash will be out of the car. I'm just looking for some dash mounting options for the gauges. Pictures would be great!! Thanks guys...

  13. I'm new to the sight so hello to all. I'm looking for a 240Z powered by the RB26DETT and 5 speed trans. I am shopping for a super clean custom car. My thoughts at first were to build another one but I just don't have the time and I would rather buy something already built. What should I expect to pay? Looking for something super clean and 500 HP at the wheels. $15,000-20,000???? Thanks for the help guys!
