Funny you should ask. I just re-did my interior with a combination of "Q-Pads" and duct isulation from Lowes. My son was an hvac installer and said it might work for cars. It was a hellava lot cheaper than dynomat,etc. I did the whole interior including the firewall (inside, of course). So far it did what I wanted...decent heat and sound insulation. We'll see how it does over the long haul. I did put the factory firewall insulation over it. Cheers, Mike
