    Very nice starting point , Sucks that it got towed has happen many times to me. I just wanted to inform your there isn't a such thing as a 71 black pearl . The Black Pearl Didn't come out til 1978 which was a 280z. I would total go for the l28et Its what I have in a couple of my z's also. And if u can find a 81 donor they are just as good as 82-83 , You can always upgrade to the 82-83 wiring harness and dizzy. Glad u decided to share your z with us looking forward to more updates. One last thing take your time as you buy your parts so u don't have to buy things twice that's where a lot of us on here mess up .

    WTF???? i wanna kill myself.... A few months ago i found like 8 NOS valve covers like that at the only one Datsun Shop here, the owner was selling them very cheap, i bought 2 of them, the next day i went there and he sold the rest for junk.... the covers were intended for the L28 that goes in the Datsun 280C or Cedric 430.

    Back in the day I used just stick things like this in my pocket(Stealing). I've since gained the conviction that if it's not mine, don't take it. Since then, I'm absolutely amazed at what people will give you if you just ask.

     

    I walked up to the counter, the women looked at it, looked at me and just said take it. :)

    Went to autozone needed less than a foot of heater hose and BAM! Giving to me free of charge.

    That 280zx actually would look pretty slick with a little work. My only issue with them is that they sent smog exempt :(

     

     

    Yea Usually I'm not a fan of zx's but they have grown on me....

     

     

    No wonder I get so many parts from you, you have an impressive Z collection! :P Can you PM me some pics of those fenders when you get a chance?

    On a related note, I was at Costco last weekend, and they have Maisto 240z 1:18 die casts once again, in 112 yellow and nissan persimmon red

    They have the same ones near my with yellow and orange but the funny thing is the ones near my house have different rims yours have slotted mags and mine have the old school datsun rims with the caps .

    Very sorry to have read about your dad My Heart goes out to u and your family Mike.

     

     

     

     

     

    Love your gas cap placement on your z. I like how all your mods mesh so well together and love how u pull of the big shopping cart spoiler also . Looking forward to some videos of this thing in action.
