  1. right well motor is on motor plate but diff is in "stock" swap location. Tuff to find anywhere to measure off of from "floating above the car" to make sure engine is parallel to diff. Thinking iys just going to have to be what it is and see but as someone said, as high speeds will be dangerous.
  2. problem is the angle even with motor shifted is 3.9 degrees which I understand is too much or is over the 3 deg threshold you want based on driveshaft length.
  3. I've spoken directly to them and their mount is 3/4 off center so I'm going with that
  4. ok I got it thanks. Sorry I thought it had to be straight and the sbf to r230 is just off more than I thought it would be ok.
  5. this diagram shows a height parallel alignment where I am talking left to right
  6. r230 rear end is almost inch over towards passenger side. So rotating the motor enough to line that up would be quite a bit. So moving engine over will make them parallel horizontal to each other. La8nes moved sideways because stock L motor was offset to side
  7. laine family mount is 3/4 off to side and build blog mention 3/4 inch so yes moving things sideways. Rotation? so motor should be tilted until trans is parallel to diff??
  8. 16 years later I'm trying to figure this issue out myself. Any pictures around of undersides? my t56 to r230 diff is quite offset. I have engine 3/4 inch offset in bay to side to get the alignment close on horizontal plane
