  1. Thanks tony So you mean use the l28 inlet manifold yer? Thanks
  2. Hi all I just picked up an L20 Turbo and wondered how much HP they have in std config. Also is it possible to bolt the head onto an L28 bottom end or wont the manifold/head flow enough for 2.8l Thanks Ash
  3. thanks for the replies The reson I was asking is because I was thinking of putting a twin cam head on my L series block then I though why not just grab an non turbo rb and put the triples on that Im sure it would be cheaper than fitting an rb head to the l series block and better. The reason I want to put triples on is because I want it to be more like the z432 and I didnt want to stuff around with lots of wiring. I have triples on my race car and on my street car. When triples are set up properly they are not so bad on fuel and also I haven't had to tune them once in the last 18mths I have had them on my road car. thanks Ash
  4. Hi all I was wondering if anyone has fitted triple carbies on a RB non turbo motor? If anyone has any info or ideas on this please let me know Thanks Ash
  5. Hi all I race a fairly modified 240z in Australia. The engine/gearbox (L28) are still in the std position and I was wondering if anyone has had any experiance with moving the engine/gearbox back and down a bit to better balance the car. any info would be greatly appreciated Ashley
  6. Has anyone built or have any sugestions on fitting a RB series head onto a L28 Block to make a twin cam L series engine like the old rally/race car Zeds had? Ash
  7. The flairs are modified 911 porsche flairs. Thanks for the great comments guys. Nice to get some appreciation. Most people are to busy looking at the porsches at the races and dont notice the Zed till it starts beatting the porsches.
  8. HI This is a pic of my race car at Phillip Island a month ago with the new spoiler I made. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6935&password=&sort=2&thecat=500 Ash

    Body moulds

Its got a L28 in it. I do have a few molds but they are pretty crappy and would cost way to much to ship to perth. my car also has a modified std 5 speed, R200 LSD (which adds a bit of weight) bigger brakes etc etc I think the alloy roll cage helps alot with weight reduction as well Ash

I have got my 240z race car down to 900kg without driver. its got all perspex windows ex the glass front screen. All hanging panels except doors are fibreglass. the interiour is stripped. fibreglass dash. I still think I can pull out another 50kg just going to hand layed fibreglass panels Ash
  12. I agree, if the rear toe is out zeds really get tailey. I had a problem with the rear lower control arm bush had worn out on my 240 and the rear would just brake loose in the wet at slow speeds around corners. It really scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. I am now restoring the car so I will fix it. Ash
  13. Hi I am from Australia and am interested in building my 240z race car into a space frame chassis (the original chassis is pretty stuffed) and I noticed alot of guys in the states have done it. Could you guys maybe send me some picks of you cars with space frame chassis as I have a fair idea but the more I see the better I can do it. I will probably us the original suspension (well its been modified but the same type eg mcpherson strut) but I havent decieded fully yet. If any one has pics or advice please post or email to zr240@hotmail.com Thanks Ashley
