Personally, I like it.

I've had my '83 for a little ove ten years now. T-top, 5 spd, NA coupe. I finally started really tearing into it at 274k miles. As she sits now:
Flat top pistons with N42 head.
Balanced internals, ARP Studs and Rod bolts.
Z31 ECU with Nistune. (Still wiring)
Much more stuff, but I'm too lazy at the moment.

I'm going through the same thing you are. Although my harness is for a different FI controller. Kinda hard for a person with limited electrical experience to know where to start. But you gotta learn somehow I guess.

I have a pair of the altec vents linked to above. Still in the box with hardware and mounting instructions. If anyone wants them, shoot me a PM and we can work something out.

Gotta love the F4-U, P-38 and the Spitfire as far as warbirds go.
My grandfater was on the development team for the SR-71 so I got a lot of cool info on the Blackbird.
I got to crawl through a B-17 once. They look so much bigger in the old newsreel footage. I don't know how those boys did it under those conditions for hours on end.
I will always hate the Hornet and Super Hornet for replacing my beloved Tomcat. Oh well, guess it had to happen sometime.

There was a thread about building and wiring your own oven over on Zcar.com. I don't have it bookmarked here at work. I even think they made it to where it would break down for storage.

i haven't gotten mine finished as of yet. No time to work on the Z. I'm pretty much at the wiring/soldering phase as well.

I'm in the process of doing this now. I'm using a '04 Z31 ECU and a unknown year Z31 harness. I've made several diagrams and such, and will post them when I know they are correct.

Thanks guys. This was exactly the info I was looking for. I thought it could be done, just didn't nkow if it had been or not.

Thanks John. I was talking about the fuel pressure regulator. Any idea if I would need to use single or double flares for the compression fittings?
-
This may sound like a silly question but here we go.
Is there anyway that you can cut the ends off the inputs/outputs for the stock FPR and then flare them to use AN fittings of some type. I want to use braided hose for my fuel system, but the stock FPR will meet my needs at the moment. I don't really want an aftermarket FRP right now (trying to stay on budget) but don't want all sorts of different hoses, adapters, fittings and such (trying to go for a cleaner look).
Thanks in advance gang.

Let me guess, bad heater core, or valve hehe. Got to love that nice green puddle in the passenger floor board.

If you haven't already, check out the forums at msefi.com. A ton of MS specific info can be found.

Do you think you can go back to the original pic, and just make the pillar trim body color?
-
Still, check out the Capitol Z of TX web site to meet up with some fellow Z'ers.

Go to http://www.czot.org and ask there in the forums. Some of us Austinites might have something.

I thought it looked good, but I wanted to see it a few more times before I tried mocked it up on a real car. Maybe someone with the trim removed could maybe mock it up with some cardboard and take some pics.
-
I had this same thought a few years ago, and even went as far as to photoshop something up. Unfortunately, I can't remember where those pics are.
