    @MikerZ I'm having the exact same issue. It seems like actuating mechanism from the door handle has jammed/bound the lock as in this video - However, even after releasing the nylon nut, pulling up on the handle mechanism with thick guage wire (besically everything to operate it manually as you did) I'm getting nowhere. What did you end up doing/destroying to release the hook?
