yeah it was mostly a happy thought than a real idea.
What area in bellevue are you? I'm up in lynwood but its not too bad of a drive if you guys need a hand.

You're not finding anything in the map sharing thread that is close enough to your specs to get started?
I'd be happy to help, but only have NA tunes.
all the codes they have on the map sharing are no longer hosted so I can't download some of them, and the ones that are do not have what code they are using or the .ini file.
If you have the .msq and the .ini and what version it is I'm sure I can make it work, along with the specification of whats done to the motor
That would be enough, I just need to have the matching tune/version because the MS2E I got has the 2.88 obselete version on it that no one uses.
Thanks a ton.

or just a L28ET .msq and the code your ms runs on.

Hey,
Nice build so far. I almost didn't want to post anything because I started out with the same idea of just making it drivable but haven't deviated much from that plan. There's always next year right?
Needless to say I'm a fan of what you're doing. I replaced my floors/firewall/frame rails this past winter and spring too (though I'd say you win in the welding dept).
My car is in eastern WA right now (for want of an exhaust and a few other bits) but she runs and I'm hoping to have her out here this spring. Let me know if you need a hand with anything; I'm more than willing to help.

Maybe we could rally out to eastern wa to get the z in a z caravan haha, I make the trip to Eastern Montana and back quite a bit in the Z. Good times on I-90. This damned rain makes it hard to be productive lol

Basically like the title says,
I need a .ini file that goes with a stock L28ET MS2E tune .msq file and what code you're using it on.
It would be a huge help, thanks a ton Hybridz!
(checked the post your tune thread and it didn't have any .ini to go with it)
Thanks,
Sean.

Let me know if you need any tools/help I'm about to tackle all the bushings myself.
I most likely will. Do you have a soldering tool? I have a few wires that go to the relay board I need to zap.

I'd love to check the car out when it's running again, I've only had 1 ride in one haha.
I'm of the same thought, and some of the more aggressive lsd's still screech the tires, and some of this hills I make turns on lift one or more wheels off the ground so it's turning into more of a must. I'm fortunate/unfortunate enough to have everything off the car so I'll stick the welded diff in along with all the bushings on the first go. Still on the fence about the spindle pin and sub axle though.
yeah, I definitely want to get the diff welded on my R200. I used to have a LSD carrier when I got it but it was all sheered out to sh*t so I had the PO just put in the Open R200 before I picked it up.
I'd like to start going back up to evergreen drift days in it (rather taboo for a z to drift, but I do track racing to)
The mustache bar bushings are painfully simple to do but just time consuming to get all the stuff off to do it, should've done it when I re did all the u-joints.

Thanks, and I may take you up on the offer, finally putting the car together!
I figure I can keep an open diff for the winter and swap in the welded one near summer, the RT mount makes it a super quick affair.
And if you'd like a welded diff, I'm sure I have one to spare haha.
Well, I need to do the rear diff mount bushings and diff seal as well as the RT mount once the turbo's up again. So while I'm there I see no reason not to put in the welded diff haha
I can deal with a little tire screech and crappy turning radius for better traction.

Hey, good work going on! If you need any parts I might just have them. Have a parts 240z and a huge bin full of 280z engine parts from when i swapped to turbo.
Also, let me know how welding the differential goes, I want to do the same but I live up north in mukilteo and the rain is kinda heavier up here, still want to weld the diff though.
Keep on working though!

I can't wait to see them. I've been waiting to see a pair on a black z like mine before I buy.

Midnight club LA actually has a very very nice S30 in it, and you can drive it from the cockpit view and get realistic z aftermarket parts.
I was impressed for a midnight club game.

Life can be a *****, it's never going to be fair, or fair in the eyes of the one at the bottom. Take your dog, and your car. I have a fully grown german shepard and a boston terrier and my z is my only car, the fit in there happily, hangs his head out the window and could care less about having 30sq ft to move around in.

So get new wheels and get it recalibrated, or just use your brain to go hey I'm going faster than my speedo says, so I need to go a little bit less than 25 on my speedo.
maybe thats just my logic.

I went ahead and watched the others on your youtube videos also. Enjoyed the videos Very cool.
with the exception of billy chang goes to mrs.redmonds class I hope lol
the other two vidoes were done on a cheap camera, this was done on a really nice camera, but a cheap gyro so the shots were shaky haha we're going to the camera shop in renton today to go get a new steady gyro.

hey, a video I produced with my turbo z in, going to be more of a drifting movie ,but here's a shenanigan free teaser with a awesome z in it.
Enjoy! -
Well I dig it. I scrape speedbumps. Its whatev.
I proudly scrape the speedbumps. It's okay too, because I still track it.
-
haha thats a proper 2+2.

nothing even remotely close?....

Bueller?

His are N/A Tunes, but the fuel should suffice. some of the other basic set up stuff is troubling me, the serial cable works about half the time.

Any typical MS install should have no effect on the starter itself.
Having no tune loaded to the MS will not effect the starter.
Yeah, I had to sit back and think about that for a minute. I felt really dumb afterward haha
-
Went back to the drawing board and fixed the wiring!
Sam280z, thank you! I installed a spare GM starter I had and voila, we have life.
