  1. No just to cover up the trunk and battery, believe it or not it’s actually lighter than the factory interior.
  2. Car is still for sale if anybody is interested. $10,000 OBO. For Questions call Dan at 602-502-9492
  3. yea, Because they have no clue as to what to look for. So they just put ‘Smog System inaccessible’.

  5. Hey, how’s everyone doing? I just wanted to give a new link with some pics of the car and ask if anyone has seen the car on NOPI TV? I’m hoping to get the car into a magazine soon. Car has been running very strong as a daily driver for the past 19 month. Thanks again to all that helped… http://www.myspace.com/v8nside
  6. Hey guys, I heard my name across the net and thought I might stop in… I’m not really a forum kind of guy so I don’t hang around much, but if someone has questions just send them my way: gb300z@hotmail.com I will be glad to help out anyone. For the guys who want to know, the car is running great! It’s been a daily driver for a year now with no problems from the drive train. The old Z parts are giving some problems but they are being upgraded as we go (for example the brakes are now Stillen). The suspension is the next and probably the last mechanical system to be done next to A/C maybe… I tell you one thing though; the car gets a lot of attention. It’s been in a couple of shows like, Hot Import Nights and is going to be in NOPI in a couple of moth. Magazines are asking but it needs a paint job badly, really badly… we will see, I’m not holding my breath on that one. If anyone wants to know about the power, I don’t have quarter mile times. BUT I did run into a Viper GTSR the other week on the high way. (Yes I know no street racing and no excuses but the high way was empty and he was begging me to go, you must agree that it is one in a live time chance to show him that he paid way too much for his car) Anyway, we went from 50 all the way to 120 and staid nose to nose the entire way. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/703370 pictures are not that current, probably will update after NOPI Arizona… Thanks again to all the guys who helped me with my swap…
  7. Hey guys, for those of you who know me, sorry that I have not been around… live is crazy, and when you don’t have a pc it sucks. My car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/703370 If anyone with the T56 can help, it would be great… Can you guys feel the through-out bearing spinning in the shifter and pedal when you shift? Sometimes when the car has been driven for a while, the feeling in the shifter gets very strong, and sometimes you here the bearing, or at least I think it’s the bearing. It sounds like 60grid sandpaper on metal. The noise happens just after you shift into a gear and start letting the clutch out. The noise will stay there if you leave the gear in or if you go into neutral. The noise only goes away when you let the clutch out all the way. It happens randomly in any gear, more so in 2nd and reverse. It will do it up shifting and down shifting. It will even do it standing still. I ruled out the tranny since it’s so random. I have the felling that the master needs to be adjusted but before I try that I wanted some input. I changed the bearing a moth ago to a new GM style. It looks bigger and stronger that the old. T56 out of a ’00 SS, master is a Tilton 15/16 bore (almost adjusted all the way out), and Z06 clutch on a SS flywheel. The odd thing is the car drives like a dream, it’s just sometimes when I drive the car a lot (1 hour or more) that nose happens. Maybe it’s just me getting lazy and not shifting all the way? I’m not sure…. Thank you for any input… (Car has been a great daily driver for the past 7 month) Thanks…
  8. I just got some new pics up. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/703370
  9. ('93 300Z coupe Ls1 with T56) I put in the 15/16 bore tilton master today and hehehe.... I love it... Car drives GREAT, some small problems but nothing to bad. I LOVE MY CAR!!!
  10. I just ordered the Tilton 1 1/8 bore... Thanks Dan
  11. I cut the fitting and added a new one. the bleeder, I removed, re-taped the slave to a npt an made a line going out the tranny with a bleeder on the end. bleeding is simple now:). I have a Tilton 3/4 bore (16mm) in the garage, I'm guessing that that will not work right? Thanks again... Dan
  12. My car is a 1993 300ZX NA coupe. 1. LS1 out of a 2002 Camaro SS with 30,000 mil. (LS6 heads & manifold). 2. T56 tranny with a LS6 Corvette clutch. 3. half custom welded mounts and half '02 corvette mounts. 4. I'm using a performance walbro fuel pump for a TT model, a fuel regulator from a RB26, Painless wire harness, custom welded oil pan from a Z06 Vette, AutoMeter gauges, custom welded headers and exhaust. 5. Started on Sep. 2003. Car is running but with me, will never be all the way done:) 6. still to come...
  13. Question for all you T56 owners, did you install a GM master to work with the clutch or did you get the nissan master to work for you? I'm having a shifting problem with my T56 in my Z32-LS1, and I'm thinking that its the nissan master not making the pressure the internal slave needs. Thanks for any info... Dan
  14. Well the fuel pressure is now at 58psi and holding. Got a gauge on the fuel rail and a regulator in the line. The big problem now is my tranny, still no luck. When the car is off, I know that its working. car will start rolling when I push the clutch in and shes in gear. But when engine is on, no go. I looked at my master and its adjusted all the way out, I must have thought about that when I installed it. Any Ideas on what to try? Thanks again!!! -Dan
  15. Very nice fuel rails DaleMX, They look clean. All UC2 I don't like the idea of the regulator in the tank, yes you don't have to mess with a return line but if you need to ajust you're fuel you need to open the tank. I like the idea of a aftermarket ajustable regulator with gauge under the hood better. Anyway, to make that factory camaro regulator work you would have to use the camaro fuel pump and housing. To get that think to fit in my tank is just not worth it since all I did was put a walbro performance pump for the TT in it (150psi). Thanks again! -Dan
  16. Thanks, I'm going to use a SX Performance fuel pressure regulator. If you could take a pic that would be great. I'm just not looking forward to tapping the fuel rail for the regulator, but it will be better there than T'ing the send line right? Thanks again (will work on the car sunday 26th, I will let you guys know how it works out on Mon.) Thanks -Dan
  17. Thanks... I will try all of that. Where did you put the fuel regulator? Did you T it off the send line or did you tap into the fuel rail. (where did you get the vac. from for the regulator?) Thanks again... Dan
  18. Well I got my Z running this weekend and she sounds great!!! Down side is that the T56 will not shift as soon as the engine is on, and I have way to high fuel pressure. Question to all LS-1 Z owners; did all of you use the GM fuel pump with the fuel regulator in it? Thanks Dan
  19. Hey, sorry about you’re tranny… My LS1-Z32 has the manual T56 in it, she’s not up and running yet, but all I can think about is power shifting through those gears. It puts one hell of a smile on my face . I don’t know how you and KraZeeZX done the conversion, but all my measurements, fabrications, and placement of engine and tranny, went by the shifter being in the right position for me. Since the T56 is a lot shorter then the Z’s 5 speed (which I had) the firewall hat to be moved back quit a bit. Since the shifter on an auto is not directly mounted on the tranny, I don’t know how far back you went on the install. So you might have problems getting a T56 in the right position for the shifter. If you need pics or measurements, I will be glad to crawl under my Z and get them for you.
  20. Hey I’m Dan from AZ; Just wanted to let you guys know that there is another Z32 LS1 project underway. Well, not really underway, more like almost done. For anyone who wants to know; ’93 300ZX (used to be NA), with a ’02 LS1 out of a SS (with LS6 intake and cooling), Bosh 28psi injectors, WALPRO 150psi (in-tank) fuel pump, Painless LS1 harness, ’99 T56 6 speed manual with LS6 clutch and flywheel, B&M billet aluminum short throw shifter, all AutoMeter gauges, and without looking at my lists, that’s all I can remember for now. I still need; an ECM and get it programmed, need a throttle body, maf, and fabricate an air intake, fabricate the exhaust (have most of the parts just haven’t welded it together), and have a driveshaft fabricated. Next to that it’s just small minor things that need to be straightened out. Well, I hope I told you guys everything you might want to know about my Z. If you guys don’t mind me asking; how many Z32’s with LS1’s are out there? P.S. I got some pics up at: http://www.cardomain.com/id/gb300z Thanks, Dan
  21. Hello there; I just joined the forum today and I have to say, that after going though the search engine and looking at some of the posts, that you are some of the nicest people I have ever met on the internet. I've been on TwinTurbo.net for 2 years and all they do is criticize anyone who has there own mind and likes to do things a little different. Well, I got my '93 Z two years back and had problems ever since. The engine always had attitude, and now a month back I had an engine fire. I always had all the maintenance done on it, everything you could think of and after all that dedication the engine still didn't like me. The car is ok, but the engine compartment looks like hell. I LOVE the car, the interior, the body, BUT that engine has got to go!!! So, a Chevy 350 sounded great. I've done most of my research and the cost is in my budget and the mods don't scare me, but help is always good. The plan is to put a Chevy 350 (fuel injected of course) with a turbo, and a manual transmission in my beautiful Z. Here’s my dilemma, I love the Z look and don't want to alter the outside appearance too much. If anyone is working on the project, pics would be awesome!!! And yes, Adlashwa’s manual sounds like a very good idea. Thank you all for listening. Dan
