  1. Guy, I know all that. Haha. We are a salary shop, and not flat rate though.

I have 2 years experience in a certified training program (the school thing) and I've been working for a year now at chrysler/jeep/kia.

When you guys take the tests, remember, answer the question, dont fix the car!

  2. WOOT!

Some of you may know, i've been taking classes at my high school for preparation for the ASE exams.

We train in 4 areas, Brakes, Suspension and Alignment, Engine Performance, Electrical systems.

I took all 4 tests about 4 weeks ago, and got the results back yesterday.

I passed Brakes and Electrical systems, and barely missed the other 2 by 1 point on engine performance and 3 points on suspension and alignment!

So yea, I'm juiced. should mean a big raise at the dealership im a intern service tech at, and a lot more REAL work, no more services all day long!

I'm 18, by the way. My teacher didn't think I would pass because i screw around too much in class. Haha. wont he be surprised tuesday when i walk in with the results!

  3. Larry "COZY Z COLE" has them on his 75 280z, with a 355 sbc w/holley supercharger.

check out his profile and personal gallery for pics. and i can say they are a great sound!

  4. Since I totalled my Z, I'm looking for a new car.

My buddies brother has a 72 510 2dr for sale, with a recently rebuilt motor, not sure which one. It's ready for paint and has little to no rust, and has black painted stock rims with a chrome/polished lip, and it's really low. I haven't seen it yet, but my friend tells me it's "dumped." The interior is all good, and a new windshield seal went in it today.

    He wants $2800 for it.

Is this a good deal? Should I try to talk him down a bit?

  5. Oh and if I wanted to get a used 2.7 Liter I could get one of those! Those engines are the biggest POS's that Chrysler can make! We have done a lot of heads/engine swaps due to sludge building up and cause the timing chain tensioners to stop working(the timing chain tensioner works off of oil pressure) Anyways....

Haha. We just had a 2.7 in here for that exact problem. Owner changed the belt on his own, then a few miles down the road it died and smoke poured out from the cover. His tensioner froze up and melted the belt down.
