Sure that would be cool .... the thing that caught my eye reading the tech manual was that i would be able to use the cam angle sensor for timing. that will make the install real easy.

Some more pics from today 17 feb. had to get a final trial fit on the midplate and start fabricating the exhaust. Got all the intake and turbo stuff installed and looks like everything will fit. yea the motor is a little forward but the 4 link will cure that :dancingb:

Well time is getting short and the more i think about it...... not being able to tune my own car once i leave alaska has forced me to change my mind into using something else. You know these things come up when it takes over 4 years to complete your ride :> anyways i have decided that if i do change its gonna be a Haltec E6X. Looks like i can control timing with the rb26 cam angle sensor and all the other sensors will be easy to wire in. And best of all I have allready downloaded 3 maps that will have me pretty close well atleast for startup. looks like a decent system anyone using one?

i would think if yo made money on ebay (good amount) you would have to keep records and report it as income. just my 2 cents. i see guys on there with 100k+ in auctions ended successfully that has to be something that is reportable somehow. Stony

Ok gtir is awd but in a fwd configuration, that is engine is sideways in the engine compartment. without even measuring i d say that setup would be just as hard as the gtr setup. Show me unsubscribed

I was reading the what do you do for a living thread and saw that someone starting making the little anti vibration handle bar things and marketed them on the internet and now its a primary business. I was like WTF why didnt i think of something like that. I have always thought about finding the couple of things that i could just sit at home and sell out of the house. havent had the time of brazery to commit and invest in something to sell. But it is a great idea if you find the thing

Wow!!!!! I have just been in the military for the past 20 years as a aircraft mechanic on f-15s. I'm upper supervision now and dont turn wrenches too much anymore except on the hobby. have my associates degree in aircraft maint technology. will be starting my bach degree in something as soon as i decide what its gonna be. Submitted my retirement paperwork and havent decided exactly what i want to do next. not bad huh? retired at 38 and starting another carreer

Ok i have decided i want the adjustable ones. BUT i want to make sure this is going to work before shelling out the dough for them. does anyone have a pair of the rear inserts in question above, that they want to get rid of? they dont have to be good i just need a set for measureing and determining final ride height. Not asking for charity but charity is welcome

That is not the way the "guys " in japan did it. The "Guys" in japan basically mated the entire subframe from a GTR strut towers and all into a s30 chassis. no tube chassis there, basically spliced it in. there is a website out there showing how they did but im too lazy to find it as once i saw the work involved i really never looked at it again.

I think he may be refferring to the fact that the rb20 tranny will bolt up to a rb26 BUT the bellhousings will not interchange between the rb26 rb25 and vg trannys. its allot smaller then the others

The market in anchorage Alaska is stupid hot... slowing but still hot. My first house was new I bought with an agent that said there is no way they will take less then asking price (builder). I had to say to her 'MAKE THE OFFER" if they don’t take it I will keep looking. They came down 10K and paid closing costs. It was a model home and one of the lasts ones to sell in the area so they wanted to get rid of it. 3 years later I sold it and made over 40K on it :> The second house I bought was 10 years old. 1900sq feet 3 car garage on 8k sq feet of land. I got it for 256K now 3 years later you can’t touch a house like this for under 340K!!!!! I paid the asking price for this one as it was already under the asking value for the house. They had another offer but they wanted too many nit noid stuff fixed so the seller took my no strings attached offer and sold it to me.

Any quotes on what something like that would cost in the states?

HAHA, Sorry dude like i said on the other forum its been known here for several years the interchangablility for the rb26 awd tranny/rb25/z32. live and learn... but like you said you had to rebuild the other one anyways.
