  1. It's a damn shame when members feel they have to delete every single post they made when they want no more to do with a website.

Same thing happened with classiczcars a few years back, so they modified the system so that you could only modify a post up to 5 minutes after posting it. After that its a part of history.

Forums like this are an excellent source of information. Deleting that info shouldn't really be an option. Adding a follow-up post saying something like, 'this is all out of date, so take it as it is or leave it', instead of removing it completely would have been a better option, and maybe a bit nicer to the 99% of people on this site that didn't abuse the guy.

    Damn shame.

  2. I am willing to go in for half with someone if I can get the g-nose. How about it? Anybody interested in an actual 240z with a wide body and a V-8 for $500.Seriously PM me

The car doesn't have an engine. The ad says it did have a 327, but not anymore. Just make the guy an offer for the G-nose.

  3. Yep. Its in the Nissan Competition Parts book:

    99996-R8000 280ZXR Rear Wing Kit.

Wing is made of molded rubber and is identical to the ones used on SCCA and IMSA winning 280ZX's. Instructions and and all mounting hardware is included. Will not fit 2+2 models or models equipped with rear wiper mechanism.

  4. Dont know what everyone else's excuse is, but I ran out of free info to get. My next step is to save up and buy one of these crankshafts since no one wants to let me look at one before I buy it.

So many different engines talked about in this thread, What engine are you talking about Dave, the H30 still?

I have a engine service manual for one. I think it has specs in it. What do you want to know?

Re: the H20 roadster thing. People would build hybrid roadster engines with the H20 bottom end and an R16 head. Theres more info about H20 engines at http://www.311s.org in the forums if anyones interested. Not relevant, anyway.

  5. I saw an S20 for sale the other day on a website somewhere in Japan. hmmmm where was it... Not sure how current the website was though. It was just the block, head and a few bits an piece. not a complete engine.

  6. That gnose doesn't look like its extends into the nose of the car as much as the original style 5 piece one does.

The lower tray on the 5 piece extends all the way into the nose right up to the lower radiator support (or very close to it), stopping a lot of air leaking out under the car.

I cant really tell from the photos so I could be wrong, but it looks like the gray part ends about 4 inches into the nose, and i cant tell what that white part is behind it.

    An original style gnose:

  7. in response to that crossflow SOHC head that is shown, that really really looks like a k24 head, or even a z24 style head, if you look at how the oil filler cap is, the exhaust flange (2 together) the way the spark plugs are set up (2 together in the middle) and how the curves are on the valve cover, that looks almost identical to a z24 head( if you put like 3 or 4 of em together). just thought i'd throw that out for discussion.

Yeah, they are all nissan heads, so I'd expect them to look similar.
