  1. This sounds very interesting and if th company has any connections out here in southern California I will happily volunteer my 240 as it is completely stripped and waiting for the next phase to begin soon. Also curious as to weight of this product. Will be wathcing for future details.
  2. Those little engines can make some good power and cost a lot less than say an sr would. I certainly had a lot of fun in a 91' awd turbo, heavy pig of a little car though.
  3. Other threads in the past have mentioned the use of vw beetle/bug fenders cut down, and a mention of nissan frontier truck flares have come up. I have never seen either utilized and this could just have been pure conjecture.
  4. As you already know, there are too many benifits by physically allowing more tire meat, providing lowering potential, and aggressive aesthetics (which is purely up to individual opinion as to good or bad). Too many benefits that I personally believe these factors will never allow this to become a trend or phase, much like slotted or watanabe wheels on a z fit like hand in glove.
  5. Thanks to member (Nigel), here is his great write up on the requirements for the bellhousing mods: http://www.motortopia.com/album/14041 Pics showing the (1)stock 280zx bellhousing specs,(2) then the three required parts that need to be milled,(3) and lastly an example of the bh going through the motions. Not trying to jack your thread, but always looking for a good suggestion for a machine shop. I have stopped into a shop or two in the El cajon area.
  6. It would be for the s14 trans swap connected to l28et. I need to have the 280zx bellhousing work done so that I can go this trans swap route.
  7. Synthtk, Love your fleet of cars, great selections. Wondering if you could suggest a quality machine shop in San Diego. Looking forward to seeing the rb30 completed.
  8. Thanks for the info. I'm always keeping my eyes open for future parts that I will need and what seems to work well.
  9. Nicely done and well documented. I particularly like the use of the old bushings. I am leaning heavily toward an alpine pdx multi channel or two pdx amps depending on sub choice due to there small dimensions and cool running capapbility.
  10. Mike, On that braille battery that you are using, do you think it would hold up for a primarily non daily, street driven car in a mild climate such as southern California? That weight savings is great.
  11. I'm thinking a current vendor here who has the cnc capability, currently offering nice billit parts.
  12. ^^^ Hrmm, Maybe one of our members here who produces nice custom z car parts, would consider taking this one on.
  13. Curious to see answers to this as I am in need of new rockers for my new p90 head. Subscribed...
  14. Zero, There is a member here that is doing exactly what you just stated, but have not heard any updates in awhile.
  15. I have some new, never mounted or used fiberglass bumpers from Reaction Research for $250. These were a little over $300 two years ago. I could even meet you in orange co, by msa on a weekend.
  16. Nice! What route will you take with the transmission? 4g63 brings back good memories of my old 91' talon tsi awd.
  17. Revisit page 1, post #6.... Treadstone single sided inlet/outlet....
  18. I have recently acquired a nicely ported p90 head and have a spare p90 head that has been reconditioned. It was pressure tested, disassembled, blasted, valve job performed, then finally surfaced for true straightness and reassembled. It was then bagged up and stored in my house with a huge parts cache, while I have been extensively rebuilding my 240z. PM if interested...
  19. Pete, This week I will work at a more complete and better example of what I was trying to convey through explanation.
  20. PM sent in regards to my proposal, as to not highjack this thread anymore than I did.
  21. Pete, Your fiberglass and mold making skills are great. I have tried with several members who also have good fg skills to make a single gauge pod that seemlessly blends into the top of the ignition clamshell. Something as if the factory had intended which would allow for a boost or air/fuel mixture gauge(2'1/16") to visually reside smack dab in the center of the two main gauge zone. Sound like something you may want to tackle?
  22. If you should find yourself ineed of a nice dash, I have a 72' with one thin crack, complete with all gauges, wiring,etc...
