  1. Would a stuck piston give me line pressure troubles? Would it make it seem like there was air in the lines? I have bled the heck out of my system but it still feels like there's some air in there.
  2. I bet that's it. Ill try to break it loose, but if I can't I'll probably just get a rebuilt one.
  3. I bought an early zx rear disk conversion kit some time ago for my 280Z, and have only recently installed it. The install went smooth, but I have since ran into a few problems. The first time I push on the brake pedal it goes almost to the floor, if I pump it again it's at perfect pressure. I've ran a 32oz bottle of brake fluid through the system using the "clear hose in a bottle" trick, and bled the master cyliner so I dont think that there is any air in the system. The E-brake lever on the drivers side isn't working, and I don't think that caliper is clamping as hard as the rest. I have two rebuild kits that came with the conversion but I've heared that these calipers are hard to rebuild. I don't want to buy a zx haynes manual just to rebuild the calipers. Has anyone done or could someone do a good write up on how to rebuild calipers. Ive searched but I haven't found anything very helpfull. Thanks.
  4. I just got some short brake lines for my 280ZX rear disk conversion today. The ones that go from the flexable line to the caliper. They have a short unthreaded section at the end of the connector that the old ones dont have. Do I need to remove that before I can use them? Can I do it without cutting the end off of the line? I did a search, but I'm still a little foggy. Any suggestions?
  5. I really dig your car, and I am very interested in doing this swap. I already have the plates cut out. I cut the perimiter and the holes out of a piece of steel a little thicker than called for on your blue print. Very detailed prints I might add. I plan on welding them up and finishing them on a lathe as you suggested. What do you mean by leaving the shafts 1/2-3/4" longer? Do the supra shafts extend and contract like the stock half shafts? Did you have the CV shafts balanced. Have you had any problems with vibration? Thanks for the help.
  6. Blueovalz, Where did you learn fiberglass work? What kind of layup techniques did you use? Any books or refrence materials you could recommend? Thanks.
  7. I have a PS2 with the chip. The chip wont fit in early model PS2's, the laser is to long. You have to put the later model laser in. I got a new laser, the chip installed, and 10 free games, all for $150. The only good thing about being stationed in Korea. What games should I be on the look out for?
  8. What was so diffrent that it couldn't be made to fit? I would like to put a 240 on my 75. What kind of problems am I going to face?
  9. The fax machine isn't readily available. I'm 9 hours ahead of you, and my only access is at the library. Is there any way you could E-mail the pictures to me? My address is jason.olsen@kunsan.af.mil. Thanks!
  10. I want to keep the marker lights. I just want to make them flush with the body. I'd like to cut a Z shaped hole in the center and put some sort of lenze and light behind it. I have access to a CNC controlled water jet cutter that can do some pretty amaising stuff. I figured if I could get some measurements I could cut out a whole stack at once. You could just tack them right in and minimise body work. If someone could even trace the opening and fax it to me that should do the trick. I also need the guage of the sheet metal. If I could pull it off would anyone be interested in a set?
  11. Can anyone give me the dimentions for the markerlight holes. I can't get to my car right now, but I want to make some plates to weld in to shave them. I need: length, width, and the corner radius if possible. Thanks.
