damn thats tidy, so do you have to curve the metal (fibreglass whatever) to be able to screw it in place? cause those side screws come out at an angle

that doesnt help -.- lol

Hi guys, Its been a long time since ive posted (was in canada for 2 years) but im back and ready to pull the baby out of the garage and go nuts again. So i have a question, an old one, but one i never got a good answer for. Im looking to create a custom vent/map light console for the dash, ive seen plenty of pics but never any designs on how its done. Is this a very customized item or is there a process for it? And yes i realise one is a 240 and one is a 260, just putting the idea across

Bad earth? What ignition system are you running? I know with my MSD setup i had to get aftermarket gear to get it to work

My bad, yes best NA 6. Oh god the noise lol. Doesnt sound as good as mine i dont think, but its very metalic and very angry, though ive been told that the metallic noise is due to the carbon intake. Not that id be complaining....But as far as bang for your buck goes, this is def not a viable option. But dare to dream....

Good to see someone else appreciates a fine german 6 hahaha. Its my dream to trransplant a e46 M3 3.2 into my Z...but the costs....bah dont get me started. I found an engine on ebay for 15k...but no tranny. I would imgaine thath to go for more than double thath if it was the SMG (correct me if im wrong). I love and hate to see it done by someone else, but hey, who wouldnt want the worlds best 6 in their Z?

Shimming the cam towers will throw of your cam geometry a little though.....

best 250 GTO imitation ever!

It aint THAT big......through the bonnet is big..And yeah cubes are cubes, but we are talking about a primative push rod V8, none of this fancy DOHC p.s i am all for the fancy DOHC

nooooooo Rb25s are like 4k, Tokyo Toys does the conversions for the following; RB20 - 5.5k RB25 - 7k RB26 - ??? The 25 would be the sweet as middle of the road
-
Haha, ty To be fair i have only seen a couple that price, because that includes Gbox as well, if you just want the engine i have seen them go for between 5-6k...unsure it that includes loom etc. They are very expensive and a Z would haul just fine with an rb25 in it. Darius is proof that you dont need big turbos to go very very fast...

bigest wheels and tiers for 240Z
DeusEx replied to a topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Aux, Are the wheels in your gallery the 225/50/15s? The reason i ask is cause i wasnt sure how a lower profile would look (i have 215/60/15 and was lloking to go to 225/50/15 and was told 50 profiles look silly, but yours look tops!) -
Ah that seems to be there thing, i cant find anyone who doesnt have coilovers who runs a large tyre

Hye guys quick question Ive found a nice set of racing hart imitations but they are 17*7.5 and 17*8.5 (rear)..will these fit under the Z? The tyres are 235s on the rear and 215s on the front. Also how would i go about finding the offset on a wheels? Sorry if this sounds dumb, i did a searc but couldnt find anything....

well in australia 91 is our normal unleaded....98 is our premium..no idea what 96 is....

Hey Guys, I plan on shaving my P90 very soon, and after looking around ive decided taking 2mm off wll give me a good raise in compression. after speaking with the Brisbane Z god he advised me not to shim my cam towers as it will screw up my cam geometry. He told me how to then adjsut the timing gear to take up the slack on the timing chain, but im not that technical so it didnt make much sence to me. But ive been reading some things on porting and polishing and this is where i am having my delema. Its already got a port match and polsh to the manifolds. So my question is; Is it worth porting my intake and exhaust ports in pursuit of more HP? Is it more advantageous to port one more than the other? (intake over exhaust for example) Im not very technical when it comes to this, but how much should the ports be widened to? Or how much should they be made to flow. Keeping in mind im looking to spend $500 or so..... Since changing my cam i have already lost alot of downlow torue in favour of more revs, and i really dont wanna loose alot more. Will porting take this away from me? Sorry if this has all been posted before, i have read though a number of threads but had a few questions of my own. Thanks

This is a common argument, Japan had little to do with Rb30s, and aside from that they dont like putting RBs in Zeds cause Zeds have a god like status and RBs come in family cars. The US never saw an RB30, and they hate RB20s, as they got the red top motor, its the silver top you wanted and transplanted into a Z you have a very fast car. But litte torque but thats a driver preference. Alot of guys around here have RB20s and love them (do a search for a thread i started called "happy with an RB20" should answer some quesions. And the whole go buy an RB26 things, cause its easier to get power out of is true, but do you have 8k for an engine alone? RB can get big numbers, rb20 is excellent value for money, and 25 brings more torque and power....rb26 is alittle overkill if you ask me, but im gonna get shot saying that on this forum... As for the RB30 with the RB25 VVTI head, you can get some very good numbers even in NA guise, there is a guy on classic Z car (http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=113060&postcount=53'>http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showpost.php?p=113060&postcount=53 <-outake, http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4098&page=4&pp=15'>http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4098&page=4&pp=15 <- full page) who cant say enough good things about it. Its a relativley cheap swap with the VVTI head being the most expensive at around 1k (you can get them cheaper) and you could probbaly find a complete RB30 block from a wreckers for 300 bucks with a small warrenty. Id go the combo, but i want to find the head first, as i wont bother doing it without the VVTI head. And of course when foing turbo, you can easily put out 300 HP with stock gear and proper timing. its worth doing a search on here and http://www.classiczcars.com and everyones best friend http://www.google.com.au, lots of people have built the RB30/25 head combo.

Here here, remember, its the states choice to send men, and the state has to wear the wrap and its good to see positive images where the Iraqis are grateful. Oh how the media controls what we see and believe......

Im in Australia, besides i think youll scare me with teh price......ok hit me, how much in 17*7? Also, a noob question, if i want them to bolt directly on, i need a 114.3 PCD and 0 offset yes? Id like as much dish as possible with a 7inch wheel, witout using spacers, in this case do i use an offset of 0 or is there leway? -

Anyone know what rims these are? -
I gotta say i love your wheels, what are they? I have simmons and i dont need spacers......

Damn! This was the exact forum i was looking for.....except most of the links are dead!!! I guess ive always liked classic wheels but these in this forum have changed my mind. Rather than spend 800 bucks for new tyres, i think i rather try and sell my wheels for 800 and then get a new set of 17s with tyres (not new, 2nd hand, much cheaper that way)....And i assume all these wheels need spacers right?
