  1. I recently had an electrical issue in my garage which made all outlets, garage door and ceiling fan not work and I still find myself sitting in the garage sweating a puddle under me while I stare at the engine sitting on the stand. It's sickening.

thats hilarious, i do that too!

  2. had the F54 block re-honed and painted with brass freeze plugs installed. the head just got a simple valve job. the stainless exhaust valves i had were too big for the E88 but i was able to use the stainless intake valves.

what i have for the new build = new water and oil pump, AZ Car baffled oil pan, ZX dizzy, MSD blaster coil, 6-2-1 header, mikuni triple 40phh carbs, trw timing kit, E88 head, flat top pistons, new bearings and piston rings. having these things powdercoated: motor mounts, cam timing cover, valve cover, alternator bracket... more but can't think of right now.

  3. I really like your setup. How much did it all cost?

    headlights: Ebay $35

Acura MDX projectors, converted to fit D2S HID bulbs: $90

    Philips 4300k D2S HID bulbs: $65

    Matsushita ignitors and ballasts: $200

    PVC 2" Pipe reducers: $5

the MDX projectors are an excellent projector for the money however it is not bi-xenon. For amazing output look into Acura TSX, Honda S2000, Lexus LS430 (the absolute best), Acura TL (for the best bi-xenon). These are all made by "Stanley". the Matsushita ballasts are some of the best and this model is truly waterproof but you can find OEM BMW/Mercedes/etc. ones that are good on ebay for much less now.

    good luck!

  4. I heard two seperate newer M3's at an autoX earlier this year. Both appeared to be stock but I dont know for sure. I could not believe how UGLY the exhaust sounded. I'm not kidding they sounded like ricer Honda's. I actually argued with the other guy working the timing van with me over one as he swore it was a Honda ... until it hit the finish line and he could see it was an M3.

I'ld wait for the new rumored super-duper vette.

Good to hear your business is going well.

that rasp of the stock M3 is an acquired taste. i tend to like it... two of my good friends both drive M's however, they sure don't sound anything like a ricer Honda.

  5. I voted 911. the new 997's are gorgeous and JDP rated Porsche #1 most reliable brand to boot.

The M3 definately gets my 2nd vote. My friend has one and wow that is one well balanced car. PLENTY of power, great handling and driveablility. He does complain about having his $50k car whooped on by Mustangs though lol.

the CLK is nice and any of the AMG's are quick but do you want to hassle with the billions of electrical problems that they have?

The Viper doesn't seem very "daily driver" friendly... but what a stunning car to look at. the Z06 however great, isn't the best built IMO.

As stated already above, the NSX is an amazing car. Light, fast, exotic, and gets decent gas mileage too. Not to mention its Japanese built by HAND. My close friend has one (for sale too) and that car definately hauls ***.

Also consider a 2002-2003 BMW M Coupe with the S54 motor if buying used isn't a problem for you. You either love the style or hate it.. I think it looks bad ***! :) good luck on your decision!
