One delay after another, she's finally out of the shop.
Front and rear side turn signals removed for smoother look. Front and rear bumper shocks removed. Rear hatch emblems removed.
I still have couple of more exterior work but she's pretty much done with exterior. Power antenna needs to be installed and rechrome 240z bumpers.
I'm not pleased with the amount of the drop on the car. It has a big gap. I should of gone with 16". Current setup is 1" drop with 205/50/15". I'm planning to switch the tires to Yokohoma 205/55/15" thanks to Discount tires 30 day return policy.
Next is to find a good reputable upholstery shop for interior restoration.
Here's are some updated pics. I only had my ultra wide angle lens for this shoot so the pics may look bit distorted.
I finally found out MSA and Zcarsource also calls it "Air Regulator". However, Autozone, O'Reilly, NAPA, and couple of other stores locally have no IDEA what I'm talking about......
Hey guys, is there another name for Auxiliary air valve? (1976 280z)
I called up few of the local parts store and they "looked" at me funny as if Auxiliary air valve doesn't exist...just because it's not in their system.
Thanks. I think this is the reason why there's two different option on the ECM.
My repair guy was telling me that I need an ECM that was for California emission.
I need some help.
My stock ECM for 1976 was burnt so I ordered a used one off of ebay.
The part number (green color sticker) on the ECM matches the stock. ( A11 600 000)
But the pin settings are different.
TOP - Stock
BOTTOM - eBay replacement
Can I use this or do I need to find something with a same pin set?
Anyone know where I can buy a new fuse box for 1976 280z?
I tried MSA and couple other online vendors with no luck.
I was ready to pick up my car last Friday from the body shop but, the car wouldn’t start.
Body shop mechanic looked at it for two days and finally came up with bad fuse box?
Could this be the reason why the car won’t start?
The battery has a good charge and it’s only couple of months old with all new cables and contacts. (All cables have good contacts)
I tried doing a search but, the site keeps crashing on me when doing a search function.
I'm ready to install the 240z bumpers on my 280z and was wondering if the current bumper shocks need to be removed or kept on.
Thanks.
