hey i had this problem it turned out i didnt have enough oil in the car. i put in another quart of oil and it solved my studder/lag issue. im not sure if this is the case for you but it wouldnt hurt to check. also check for any vac leaks the car is old so check all your hoses

Hey all i got an 82 turbo s130 and ive been having some trouble with it. The car is great ive always wanted a z and now that i have one im looking for an s30 now but anyways. the car will and will not rev past 3100 rpms. the car has sounded like it has back fired on the intake side and my car seems very sluggish now or at least when i can drive the car past the 3100RPM. is there a possiblility that i have ruined anything internally??? the car has pulled very hard before but after one day of rain the car has not been running as strong as it used too. the power kinda just comes and goes. what is causing this??? thanks in advance.
