  1. im sorry, i just started reading the thread over again for the second time and i realized that you already answered my question, except for the header flange. thanks
  2. i checked out that mcmaster website and im curious of which butt welds you used? small diameter, big diameter ,length, and thickness. also where did you get the manifold flange? i read somewhere once that do to heat expansion with a stainless steel flange you should cut a line between each runner on the flange, if not the manifold bolts could shear off. just something i thought of while looking at your pics.
  3. i didnt notice if you mentioned this or not but what do you use for your fuel system, pump , regulator ect.?
  4. i like this topic and really enjoy all the turbo guys feedback. Hey Kechup if your there lets hear what you have to say. I get excited when ever I see your car on here because its the same color as my 71 and i can imagine mine with a big turbo!!
  5. keep the draw through!!! If you want i can get the number of the guy who built my carb. runs great , and old school power plants kick ass!!
  6. im in if the price is right!
  7. where did you get the copper head gasket. i have the 2mm three peice and want to change to 1mm but the only one i can find is $259.
  8. i understand that you have some detonation issues but why dont you upgrade to a metal gasket.
  9. i may have missed it but what head gasket do you use?
  10. DatsunD, my plenum is all aluminum, and so is the stock intake if that is what you plan on using. the only problem with fuel is possible puddeling in the plenum under the carb if it is sitting too low. I did some tuning on my holley two weeks ago and took acouple of laps on a back road by my house, felt awsome at 20lbs!! cant wait to hit the track!
  11. it depends where you live. if it always warm you shouldnt have too many problems. my engine always fires up with little effert but i have heard storys that if it isnt designed well the fuel will puddle and cause problems. im always down for different and unique things when it comes to cars, i shouldnt have said you shouldnt do it for a daily driver, i should have said you may go through some trial and error for awhile, so i would have a reliable vehicle aswell.
  12. also turbo mustangs is a great website. if you are looking for a blow through setup, check out csu carbs. alittle pricey but great rep.
