Thank you alll. And for fuel filling, I have a fuel cell where the spare tire used to go. Attached some pictures of the electric pump & it I installed. Just a small pump to help push fuel up to the mechanical 9lb pump off the engine. Also ran the fuel lines front to rear. Oh! And i got my rear rims & redrilled hubs Went with a 295/50R15 tire. I must say.... they are sexy. Got 3-1/4" studs coming & the correct lug nuts. ANDD just a idea of what the lip on this bad boy looks like....

Im also looking for a PAIR of 280z stub axles & companion flanges! If anyone has any extras after selling them to him please let me know
-
Dont think they will, I thought they were the same spline count as the 240z? Either way, don't think they will work, thanks though Also! I need the companion flange that goes with it.
-
I need the rear hubs from a 280z, plan on getting them enforced and redrilled to a 5x4.5" pattern, rather not spend that money on the weaker 240 hubs. Im in 19465, Pottstown, PA. Dont mind driving a bit. Thanks

Alright alright, finally getting back to work on the Z. Got it up at the other shop now so I can actually work on it more often Got new seats, black leather from a 99ish Maxima. They are tight to say the least with the rollcage and with the sliders, and took a whole days of work to get in the car. But it was totally worth it, look great, feel great, and hug a LOT better then the stockers. Working on this week to get the thing moving, gotta figure out a few electrical things to make it run, gotta get rear brakes on, gotta get fuel lines run, annddd gotta get the driveshaft cut down and get the axle shafts in. Driveshaft is out to a buddy of mines friend who used to do all of S&W's work. He is one of the best in the area and it is oh so cheap Measurements have been made to get the final tire sizes. REAR - Going to 5X4.5 Lug Pattern. 15x12 Welds 3.5" Backspacing (Might need a ~1" Spacer), 29x15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Radial SRs FRONT - Stock 4 Lug Pattern, 15x10 Centerlines with a little bit of a stretched 225/50R15. (I just love the SLIGHT stretched look lol)

Got all the glass back in, gotta get the side windows tinted. Got the rear bezel and lights in. Got the carpet & most of the interior back in. Got the lovely not so sturdy side mirrors on. Got the headlights drilled out and installed. All the latches & handles and locks are all on. Don't ask about the license plate, showed up on the car sometime last night, not sure who put it there haha.

Starting to wet sand & buff on friday.... still haven't had it out in the sun completely, hopefully the paint still looks as good. Also noticed the stripes arent perfectly centered on the hood oh well, it isn't a show car & you won't notice unless your anal like me or starring at it for a while. hopefully I'll be moving by too fast anyway to take a good gander

Yeah, with the front you're kind of limited on what you want to do with an air dam unless you wanna build something custom. You could also go with the subtle z front fenders. 1.5" wider & i "think" use the stock air dam?
-
Yup, this is the easy part, the next part of buying wheels, tires, driveshaft, all that fun stuff that cost money will take a while haha. And I think i ruined the japanese sports car look by dropping in american power & a widebody kit. What difference does adding stripes make at this point?

Got some paint on her today...

Finally getting progress, roll cage is in. Used the door bars for the hatch because the ones they supplied are for if you got it all tubbed it all that fun stuff. And the hatch bars are a lot shorter so a lot better for street comfort! Should be starting to get it in the booth this week. Hopefully....
-
Thanks everyone for the comments. Body work is now completely finished. Got all the lines as best we could, fixed any minor imperfections in the metal, have it primed & ready for some paint. Will be starting to weld in the roll cage tomorrow, should be in the booth by the end of the week if all goes as planned!

S&W 8 point Roll Cage Front is done! I'll update pictures tomorrow of the grille, used an extra grill I had lying around and just extended it down.
-
Starting to shave in the turn signal area modifications...
-
Filled in where the stock turn signals went, gonna be putting the turn signals in to the grill. Spent all afternoon thinking what car I can steal the turn signals from to make it work, then I saw my brother backing out of the driveway in his 280z, just remembered they have turn signals in the grill! That will all be filled and smoothed to make it all flow and be even Ordered a 8 Point Roll Cage from S&W Race Car today, they're only 10 minutes down the road from me. And yes.. there is infact a small block in there.

Rears are NOW gonna be a 335/30R18 on a 18x12 because I can't get 19" wheels. Fronts are gonna be a 255/30R18 on 18x9. Got the air dam cut and in place, have it backed with metal to give it more support, and to make it completely bolt on, removing the self tapers on the side once the glue dries and then getting that all smoothed so it looks like it hasnt been cut...
-
Rears are gonna be a 325/30R19 on a 19x12. Fronts have to be reconsidered, trying to find some wide but about 24". Think I might be going with a 255/30R18 or 255/35R18.

Toyota/Lexus Spectra Blue w/ Pearl White Stripes, I wanna say the blue is a mica code 8M6? Whites just gonna be a standard white we got laying around with some pearl mixed in. You can see on the pictures I have of the Jams too.

Got the air dam today! Never relized how much a G-nose makes the car longer till I have a GNOSE part on the front of a regular car. haha. Gotta cut, glue and glass the front air dam to make it flush with the hood. Working on getting everything straight & getting rid of all the highs & lows in the metal on the car. Should hopefully be in the booth by the end of the week? "Hopefully" Ordering tires and rims soon! Front is gonna be a 17x11 with a 315/35R17 tire. I think I'm gonna be decreasing the stock backspacing by about an inch? Or just keep stock offset & space it occordingly to the edge of the fender. Rear is still being figured out.
-
Got the interior stripped out and that all rust-proofed (in-theory) and painted. Got under the hood painted. Got the door jams & everything painted blue. Got the engine and tranny and everything in the car. Got windshield in. Got the front end aligned & in primer. Waiting on my front air dam from ZCCJDM and it should be in the booth by next week. Pictures I have so far, didnt get any of the engine & tranny and the front end on.

Yeah I gotta figure mine out, my selection is slightly more limited since my vehicle will me used more as a street cruiser/weekend racer (once the rear is finished). Finding tires in the width I need while also not being too tall is proving difficult. I'll probably end up with a 15x12 rear and a 5x10 front.
-
just trying to get an idea on spacing & size. to be honest I'm not sure what I'm gonna be running as far as tires go yet. I've got about 15" deep and 27" inch up to work with. Probably a 26x12 street slick on a 12" wide rim for the rear. Up front I was thinking a 10" wide with a 225/50 stretched on it. Lemme know what you use if you get it done before me. I gotta figure it out also!
