Hey guys was curious if anyone has a BBC write up. Picking up a L78 6.5L 396 BBC for my 78 208Z 2+2. Car had a SBC in it over the summer and i wasnt impressed. Stumbled across the 396 for a good price. Was wondering if anyone has done this swap or a similar one. Curious about fitment and clearance.

Can anyone tell me the acceptable main bearing clearance for my L28ET build? (F54 block) I have a Chilton Guide and it is definitely mentioned to check that they are correct, but the actual acceptable clearance measurements are not listed. (2nd error/omission that I have found so far...) Anyone help please?

Apparently my engine has a bit hotter of a cam, and there's a little bit of valve ticking, but I just adjusted the valves and the sound prevails even when at factory recommendation. Would a hotter cam alter the required amount of valve clearance? If so, is there a trial and error method of adjusting the valves until the ticking is gone, and therefore a proper seat is found? Or am I just doing the adjustment wrong?
