GOTHALOSISM
I pulled my dash pad so I could repair the cracks. Only issue is when pulling it off of the frame I tore in half close to where a crack is. Does any one know any type of glue that I can use to repair the breakage?
LanceVance
Not sure what method your going to use to repair it, but I used wires to "stitch my dash together... Maybe wires and the usual bumper repair stuff would work? This dash was really bad (obviously), and I was only planning on using it to practice on, but after removing most of the vinyl, wiring it back together (the cracks almost went completly across the dash, and the edges had even curled up and needed something to hold them down), filling with foam and overlaying with fiberglass I think it might look great despite everything... I even have a place lined up to flock it once I'm done with it to give it the race car look!
GOTHALOSISM
very nice, looks like I might adapt that as well. Still on the lookout in the JY's for a better one though.
LanceVance
Don't be discouraged from using your stock dash, just take the extra time and prepwork to get it straight before you start glassing. Getting that top curve/ridge that circles around the gauges smooth is by far the hardest part, but with patience and some ingenuity you should be able to get it. If nothing else, it would be nice to have the practice for when you find a better dash.
