akumazedex
Is it possible to switch out the afm to a map sensor on a 280zx without running a standalone ecu? I've heard of people doing it but haven't found any write-ups or anything on how it's done.

MAP is just a pressure sensor and doesn't contain air mass information, completely different than a MAF/AFM that directly reports air quantity. aplyedmind
You could try out the JWT ecu that's what I will be running in my z . I think the Map is built in the ecu, and it use MAF Instead of AFM. Or just use a late model z31,z32 or M30 ecu .
