280chevzy Posted October 19, 2011 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Hi this is my first post. I am in the process of building a "carbed" Lt1 280z. I haven't seen what everyone does about accesories in there Lt1 swaps. The stock one's seems rather bulky and ugly. I am planning on using the ac but obviously no ps pump and no smog.Are there any aftermarket brackets that aren't 500 bucks? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wheelman Posted October 20, 2011 Share Posted October 20, 2011 Have you looked at the Corvette brackets? Using the Camaro or Caprice brackets with AC is impossible, the compressor wants to occupy the same space as the Datsun motor mount tower. Initially I fabbed up a bracket that replaced the PS and AC with pulleys that routed the belt correctly. Later I installed power steering so I modified the bracket to work as an AC delete.
