Dans toy
Appreciate some help on how to remove the ignition cylinder. I've removed the Ign switch off the back and the ring on the front that displays key position but can't figure out how to remove cylinder. beermanpete
I learned the hard way, you must remove a small pin that goes in from the side. I don't remember the exact location but the attached image should get you close enough to find it.
cgsheen
The pin IS small - and it's made to be difficult to remove, on purpose... (Although I don't quite know why. Once you're there, you can take the switch off the back and turn it with nearly anything to get the car going.)
Dans toy
I found the pin. Did you drill it out just far enough to clear the ignition housing ? If so what did you use to repin it? There isn't any way that I can see to grab the pin .
beermanpete
I would try drilling it with a drill smaller than the pin. It will likely grab the pin and try to turn it as some point during the drilling. You might be able to pull it out with the drill at that point. If the drill does not pull it out you can try to thread in a small sheet metal screw and pull it with the screw.
Dans toy
Thanks . If no other idea comes my way that is what I will likely do.
