RB240zDET
So my brake setup is as follows, My entire rear subframe is from a Skyline R33 GTS and my entire front suspension is out of the Lexus SC400. So up front I have the huge Lexus SC400 brakes and in the rear are the Skyline/Z32 rear calipers. I know the fronts I will eventually buy a wilwood BBK for and will be fine with that. My question is Brembo made a upgraded R33 entire brake kit. Do I really need that much rear end braking? Or is it one of those I will be fine with the stock rear calipers? surpip
I have the Z 32 brakes out back in my Z they work great I'm sure the R33 brakes are even better Way more than efficient to stop a light car IMO id spend my money elsewhere. TTT doesn't have anything like that on their site, and z31's have the ebrake in the caliper.

Guest tybee260
So you just took the z32 hub and cut the caliper tabs off and used the Ttt backing plate? I guess this kills two birds with one stone, the Cv axle swap and z32 brakes

I guess this kills two birds with one stone, the Cv axle swap and z32 brakes That appears to be what he has done. As the stock z32 rear knuckles has a long extended mount point that he appears to have cut off as it isn't used.
surpip
Yes thats what i did, i used what i cut off as a spacer so the nut would still fit fine. Didnt really what to experiment around i used what i had. I'm thinking if i stuck with all TT stuff i wouldent of had to cut the tab off but, TT are scarce in my neck of the woods and there wasent anything on ebey and N/A stuff looked the same. Guest tybee260
Man that is awesome! I was thinking I was going to have to get the entire Techno toy tuning rear end kit. $2200 is a lot to a college kid. I'm going to do this swap as soon as I can find the hubs and calipers. Any tips on the install? Pretty much all bolt in except the cutting of the tab and Brake shield?
