letitsnow
So I'm trying to replace the blades on my Z and they are making me feel dumb. They remind me of a side post, but the post is on the blade and the socket on the arm. I can't seem to find anything that looks like it online and the parts store guy didn't know what to do, so uhh, help? Edit: '77 280z, wiper arms came on the car, no idea if they are original though. 1 tuff z
On the z's you used to replace just the rubber part, some parts stores still carry the refills. Call me, I have quite a few spare used wiper blades and replaced the rubber on mine not too long ago and may have the part number [somewhere...]. Dan_Austin
I gave up and drilled out the rivet holding the pin carrier to the arm. This left and end that is just larger than a standard bayonet fitting. A couple quick scuffs with some medium grit sandpaper and now it is a snug fit. I finally used a pair of hard drive mount screw just barely snugged down to act as a lock. I picked RainX lattitude 18" wipers, but the 17" might be a better fit. Fuzzydicerule
You can get a peg at most autoparts stores that will clip into the stock arm and allow you to attach a normal pin mount wiper. I know at my store they are pretty much free because we dont have SKU's for them
