GarageRatt13 Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 Ok so i gave my dad my 280Z a while back and he decide to pull the motor and put in a 500hp stroked 388.... so now he wants to make a frame for it. he plans on making one from scratch that holds everything by itself and then drop the body on top. has this been done? i tried searching but couldnt find anything. is there a frame out there that fits the 280z? any info would be great. Do a lot of searching on this site for what other high horsepower builds have done to reinforce the chassis. Body on frame is not how its done anymore. GarageRatt13 Posted February 1, 2012 Author Share Posted February 1, 2012 alright i saw some pages about body re enforcement so i'll do it that way. right now because of the torque the body is kinda tweaked :/ hopfully the re enforcment will straighten it out.
