Andrew Bayley
Four Bolt Main Caps... This is the "splayed" version where the outer bolt of the two is angled away from the crank. -Andy [ October 09, 2001: Message edited by: Andrew Bayley ]
Guest Anonymous
How exactly do you tell the difference between a 2 and 4 bolt chevy 350? I have the pan off, cuz well, I did something dumb Anyway, there are two bolts on each side of the crank. Does that mean it's a 2 bolt? If someone had a pic of a 2 vs 4 bolt, or if there is one on the web, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million sean
Guest Tht1KSguy
yep it's a 2 bolt... a 4 bolt will have 4 bolts on each of the #2, 3, and 4 main bearing caps
Guest Anonymous
so the four bolt has 8 bolts per cap? then. OK, sounds good. sean
Tim240z
No, the four bolt has 4 bolts for the 3 middle caps. Tim

Guest Tht1KSguy
nope, 4 bolts per cap.. 2 on each side of the crank.. sorry i misread your first post you have a 4 bolt block. I misread 2 bolts per side as 2 bolts per cap.
