hydraulx
Hi, I'm putting a CA18DET in my '75 280Z. I was wondering if anyone knew of good high pressure (something along the lines of 255lph) fuel pump that could easily replace the stock mechanical. Pyro
The stock pump is not mechanical on a 75 280z. The stock 75 pump should be fine if it is in good condition. If not, the msd 2200 efi pump is a good one.
BluDestiny
Also go with walboro 255. They always seem to pop up on forums never new never used and cheaper than msrp.

As I recall, the stock n/a pump has an internal pressure relief valve that is set to ~55psi, which could be a problem depending on the base fuel pressure you want to run and the intended boost pressure. For instance if you want to run a 3 bar base pressure (43.5 psi), then the max boost you could safely run would be 55 minus 43.5, or 11.5 psi. CarJway
I personally have had issues with external Walbro 255l pumps; I have had two fail on me in less than 1000 miles. (I run Aeromotive filters prior to the pumps) I have run them internally for years without an issue, but externally I have had no luck. I have switched over to the Bosch 044 fuel pump.
