Turbo6.0
Hey everyone, I finally got my first S30! The car in question is a 1974 260Z with 69,000 original miles. The body seems solid with minimal rust but the bodywork done previously is haggard. I plan on purchaseing a bunch of parts from Z Force Productions and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this company? I want to buy their wide body fenders, fiberglass hood, lower rear control arms and some other stuff. Is this the right place to buy from? Any suggestions otherwise? luseboy
Just got one of their G noses yesterday. I'm very happy with the product. The customer service was good as well. It took him a week and a half to get it out, but that was due to some unsual circumstances so I don't blame him. It all worked out great and I'm very happy with the G nose and the purchase. You should be aware though that his stuff is not the type of body panel you just buy, paint, and throw on. I will have a few hours of sanding, bondo-ing, shaping, etc. to get my G nose perfect before paint. Not a problem for me, as my car isn't going anywhere anytime soon and I like having projects, but it may be for you. Not to hate on Z force but there are better options out there for the LCA's. My favorite are the TTT ones, I have the front ones waiting to go on the car once I get the engine bay painted. I will be putting the rears on my car as well. Is your car going to be track only, weekend driver, daily, or what? I wouldn't think you'd want to go with the widebody on a street car (or at all in my opinion, but that's just me), but that's for you to decide. I also don't believe the hood will use stock mounting locations or latch assembly without modification, I believe they are meant to be used with pins in the front and rear. Anyways my experience was good. He can sometimes come across as flakey on emails but he really isn't. BTW-welcome to the forum, post up some pics of your car, read around a bit, and above all, do not buy anything from datsun parts llc. The car will be a street car for the time being but I plan on track time in the future. Where would you recommend I purchase a hood or any parts for that matter? I'm still really new to the S30's and I want to avoid any BS if possible.
