Is there a part number difference between the two head gaskets? If I order a felpro gasket kit for a 1983 280zx turbo am I going to get the correct head gasket? Gollum Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Boost around 11-12 will be FINE on a fel pro as long as the surfaces are clean and nothing is warped to begin with. As far as a difference in part numbers I'm not sure/don't recall. If both are available just get the one listed for the '83 turbo. Most fel pro failures that I've talked with owners in person about, it seems to usually be an issue above 15psi, and even then it's questionable if it was avoidable or not. I personally wouldn't worry about it unless I was going over 20psi, but I tend to be on the cheap/adventurous side of things. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
