akhelihoon907
Hey so I bought a rb25det s2 and it came with one hks cam, and some older cam gears that are non adjustable. It still in the hks box and it has instructions but they are in japanese. The po said that it was a exhaust cam. Why would you only install one cam? Also the only thing marked on this thing is a #1 stamped in the center of the cam and a # a256g on one of the ends. I have googled this with no results any help would be sweet. ZT-R
That is somewhat common. 256 is the duration. you can determine lift by a micrometer.
akhelihoon907
So is it the norm to put only an exhaust cam in and not an intake as well? Also how can I tell if its really an exhaust cam?
ZT-R
Well i wouldnt say its the norm, but its not abnormal. The exhaust cam has the keyway for the CAS where the cam gear bolts to (at least the exhaust is different on the rb26.)
