Brake Warning Light

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I wasn't able to find a topic on this so maybe you guys can help.

I have a set of autometer gauges that I have installed in my dash.

These gauges dont have a provision for L/R Directional, Brake Warning, and High beam indicator lamps so I am creating an LED panel that will have these lights in the steering wheel console.

All the bulbs in the dash only have on Red and Blue wire that sends power to the existing bulbs (easy enough to figure out) except the Brake Warning indicator bulb. This has two. One is power Green/Yellow and the other Yellow/Green connects to the e-brake switch.

Is the Yellow/Green ground? I have been told otherwise but I don't know enough about electricity to understand what it is from the diagram.

Below is the bulb.

After switching to Revolution gauges, I wired in the brake warning light to the "Floor Temp." light that was made unused after the switch to Megasquirt. This is only on California models apparently. Not sure what's there otherwise.
