240zBoy Posted June 26, 2013 Share Posted June 26, 2013 So using the EZ wire kit I gave up on getting the datsun headlight switch to work and installed the gm headlight switch and dimmer. It works great and very easy to do. Now I have been working on wiring up the datsun turn signal switch and was wondering if anybody has done this also. There were a few wires that came from the headlight switch, grounds, and a few others that I do not know if are needed or whatnot. Thanks! For anyone in the future the only black wire left on the turn outside of the connector just gets grounded and the green wire dangling gets the purple turn flasher wire from the ez harness. Zinpieces Posted July 13, 2013 Share Posted July 13, 2013 I have developed a method of using the stock turn signal switch with aftermarket harness that works well. The trick is to use a six wire turn signal switch from a 280 rather than a three wire switch from a 240.
