caperix
I am trying to deside on what accessory brackets/belts I am going to run in my car & was wondering what everyone else is running. I live in the South so the car will be getting A/C. I am thinking about TPI camaro serpentine brackets using only the alternator & the compressor as per the JTR TPI book. Will this setup fit a Z car? I know the engine is set to the pass side using the JTR mounts so it could get close to the strut tower.
PLATA
My beast has the A/C bracket from JOHN'S JAG Z v8 conversion kit , it mounts on the pwr/steering LS1 original placement with GM serpentine belt >> and alternator
rsicard
Don't have to worry about coming in contact with the strut tower. Have the factory brackets you describe and the question was do they fit under the hood. Answer, yes they do.
caperix
Thanks for conferming that they will fit. Now to try to find some brackets that are not over priced.

rsicard
Thanks for conferming that they will fit. Now to try to find some brackets that are not over priced. Go to Ebay item 221253789591. The price is RIGHT. $75.
caperix
Thanks for that link, it is amazing how pricy just one of those brackets can get from some sellers.
caperix
OK one more question, the truck TBI setup is alot easier to find than the camaro TPI/TBI setup. I know the camaro will fit but will the truck setup fit with out hitting the hood as it is taller?
rsicard
I think the truck setup will be too tall to allow the hood to close. The camaro setup is what I believe that I have and fits underneath the hood closed.
