Guest Zachb55
hey, do you guys think that i could hook up a filter like the one in the middle (the cone filter) striaght to my carbs, i have a 75-78 280 engine in my 72 240 and have no clue what carbs are on there, but anyways, could i get a couple of those and hook them right up to my carbs for a nice little power boost??? Evan Purple240zt
K&N makes a kit for the carbs dude. Are they the SU carbs? if your handy, i would consider making an airbox and running ducting to the front of the core support to a cone filter for nice cool air. Mike C
I wouldn't waste my time or money on the under-hood filters ($50 each). Get a 5" by 9" filter from Summit for $35 and a 90 degree stainless elbow. Run this through the drivers side vent opening in the core support and connect to the stock Z air cleaner with the internal element removed. I'm running this now and will fab an airbox for my triple Del'Lortos and run same filter. You get a free flowing intake system and the benefit of cooler air from in front of the radiator.
