Turbo Meister
I installed the intercooler and prepped the car. Mack from Mckinney Motorsports fabbed the piping and welded everything up. This really works great as evidenced by a 100 degree drop in intake manifold temperature at full boost from previous unintercooled temps. Unfortunately, only little people can now ride in the passenger seat due to limited leg room.
sq_creations
That looks awesome. Do you have any issues with the fill tank being lower than the intercooler? Can you fill it with ice with out water coming out?
Turbo Meister
Thanks for the comment. Since the water in/out is on top of the IC, gravity does not cause water spillage while the pump is off. I pour in 2 gallons of water and 20 lbs of crushed ice to fill the tank. There is no spillage or leakage, whatsoever. After my 3 hot-lap runs in Bakersfield, I still had ice in the tank. I hope I understood and answered your question correctly. Any progress on your IC installation?
