9teen72
I'm gutting my 1972 240z for restoration. I removed the steering column without any hiccups. I removed the pinch bolt at the flexible coupling and now the shaft is stuck. The "shaft" at the flexible coupling pinch bolt won't come loose. I tapped it with a hammer and still nothing any tips or tricks to get this off? Is it ok to hit it with greater force? Its currently digesting some PB blast. Thanks, Paul
9teen72
Never mind I got it, the Haynes manual is full of shit I should have known better. If you look closely you will see that there are two more bolts that need to be removed. 2 of the 4 bolts that are part of the coupling and the pinch bolt. I only removed the pinch bolt. The FSM is more clear on this. Mission accomplished.
