For the head gasket, it doesn't matter - in either case one side of the gasket will be 'correct', and the other won't. In all likleyhood, there will be no difference, but you will need to make sure that all of the holes in the gasket line up with the corresponding holes in the head and in the block. If they do not, then you'll have to modify something, no matter which gasket you choose.

Now, for the intake manifold gasket, use the one for the N42.

Oh, BTW your 260 block should have "eyebrows" cut horizontally into the tops of the cyl bores to provide clearance for 38mm ex valves (vs 35mm). Confirm that these are there or your ex valves will be "machining" their own block reliefs. They should be there unless it's a home-grown L26 (L24 block + L28 crank) vs factory L26. DAW

P.S. If they're not there you can grind them in and more smoothly, better-flowing than the factory placed recesses.

I picked up a Felpro head gasket today for a 260z, and it says it fits anything from 2.4 to 2.8 on the label.

I wasn't sure when you guys were talking about bore differences if there was a difference in the "fire ring" part of the gasket. Evidently there is not, at least on Felpro head gaskets.

I have however encounted a head gasket that did not fit my ZX block correctly, and promptly puked coolant out between the head and block of my original turbo engine. That was a sweet one, let me tell you. I don't know who made the gasket, it was one my friend had laying around his shop.

I guess the real moral is to look at the gasket and make sure it works. I have done probably 20 swaps, and only had one issue, so now I check.
